  1. Often some lubrication helps coax a large pin into a tight hole.
  2. Depends on what you want.  You can build an AR significantly cheaper than a "factory" model and it will perform just as well.  On the other hand if you're concerned about resale value, a 100% factory gun is better.   Me...I'll never pay the price for a factory made AR and would never pay the price for a home made one.
  3. If you dress up like a superhero you don't need a sword or machette.
  4. Break it down for us.  Government expenditures are a matter of public record anyway.  Looks like an epic screw-up at Sig has made it easier to get the info....for what, one day's worth of orders?   Looks like Sig is yet another half-assed reatailer that's gonna owe a lot of people free credit monitoring.
  5.   The first sentence in the whole thread says so.
  6. Ammonia does NOT neutralize the corrosive salts.  Water does.  Windex is just a feel good quick get me home to clean measure.  The ammonia does help cut the copper fouling but there is not enough in the window cleaner to really do enough.   Cleaning after shooting corrosive ammo it not all that hard to do.  Just an extra step.

  8. I find the whole idea of such security at an aquarium completely absurd.
  9. This is an aquarium, not a government building or courtroom, right?  With searching, metal detectors, lock boxes, no lighters, etc?   Screw that.
  10.   They're legislators.  What do you think?
  11.   More likely the government just takes over all the hospitals.    Heard on the radio that some Nurse's organization is claiming that 8 out of 10 hospitals are completely unprepared.  Probably one of the same groups that bitched about the CDC guy saying protocol was not followed in Dallas.  They are demanding that Obama issue an EO that all hospitals "be prepared" or some such decree.
  12. Because your reloads are not the same recipe as the factory loads.  Different bullets, different powder, different equipment, etc.  Is not an apples to apples comparison.   Have you tried loading several different charge weights and testing them out?
  13.   A TN HCP is sufficient for proof of marksmanship but I would still take up DMark's offer of instruction.  There is a lot of satisfaction in owning a Garand but learning to properly shoot the thing takes it to a whole new level.   Required reading.....http://www.easy39th.com/files/How_to_Shoot_the_US_Army_Rifle.pdf
  14. #  ::1  localhost   is the local loopback for IPv6 addressing.  Not an issue but you don't need it either.  The pound sign indicates it is commented out....in other words not read or being used.  It's in the default hosts file for Windows Vista and greater.
  15. Things would have been a whole lot simpler if "Buds" in Sevierville was not called Buds at all.   I wonder if trying to bank on the already known name for tourists is worth the hassle for locals.
  16. I would check the LAN Settings in IE via Internet Options - Connections and make sure a proxy server has not been maliciously defined.   Also check your network adapter settings to make sure DNS is set to automatic for IPv4 (and IPv6 is disabled) and not to specific ip addresses, also set maliciously.   I've seen both methods used to prevent access to specific websites.

  18.   Why would it?
  19.   This.  Foreigners that move to Tennessee just want the lower cost of living and pretty scenery but they insist on bringing their ingrained foolishness with them.   I'll not even go into the rising cost of living this influx is actually causing.
  20. We certainly have our problems down here but if it keeps the damnyankees out then they can publish all the garbage they want.
  21.   Sickening isn't it?  There is a special place in hell for these people.
  22. Most new sedans all look the same.
  23.   Nothing at all will go wrong.  The Plan will succeed.  :tinfoil:
