This is what I use.....http://www.autozone.com/greases-and-gear-oil/lubricant-grease/coastal-moly-grease/561753/ ....there's enough in that tub to last a lifetime.....and it's cheap.     My understanding is it contains no graphite.  I got all bent out of shape about that when I was looking for some proper grease a couple of years ago after reading every thread on the interwebz and the potential for galvanic corrosion it may cause especially in a salt-water or marine atmosphere, you know, in case my operations lead me toward the coast.  :lol:   Mil-Spec calls for molybdenum disulfide (moly) grease (TM-9-1005-249-23).   As far as LocTite goes, I personally would not use any thread locker on a barrel nut.  There's no need for it.
