Garufa replied to NoBanStan's topic in General Chat
I bet no one born in the last 40 years knows how to get into this deliciousness. -
Bearcats are the neatest little single actions ever. Fun for everyone! GLWS!

Many hours at the library trying to work and print from the microfiche. -

We talking Millenials, Gen Z, or what’s coming after cause those first two groups already don’t know. Signed, Gen X, The Last Generation. -
Thoughts on the recent Hybrid / EV registration penalty?
Garufa replied to Erich's topic in General Chat
The cumulative IQ of the TN State government is that of Forrest Gump. I get hitting EV’s with an added fee to make up for the loss of gas tax revenue because lord knows TDOT needs more money to build new roads rather than maintaining the ones we have, or investing in other forms transportation, but I think they are grossly overestimating the impact of hybrids on loss of revenue. -
Reloading tips you don’t mind sharing
Garufa replied to gregintenn's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Take your time and be methodical. I only have an old RCBS Rock Chucker so when I get a notion to reload it’s very easy to check everything, then check it again. Also, I weigh the powder drop every 10 rounds and eyeball the powder level in all cases before capping them off when making up a batch. Only thing worse than a round with no powder is one with twice the powder. -
He is a stupid kid that inserted himself into a situation he never should have been in. Luckily for him he got away with it. Of what interest is his “traumatic ordeal” to anyone?

The legislature needs to slow their roll. Business owners, you know their major supporters, are not going to be cool with this.

Whatever.

I fail to see the relevance myself or why anyone would want to hear him speak.

It was just a “few years ago” you could walk into any store and load up on .22 long, .38 S&W, .45 Auto Rim, and .30-40, among many others!

The Wife and I just had the sex talk with the boys.

There ain’t but one way to put them things on. Does it really require a demonstration? -
I’m surprised this thread has gone on for so long. It’s getting a little “out there”.

What’s the point in having a tool if you don’t use it? Rain: 4WD Gravel: 4WD Mud: 4WD Snow and/or Ice: 4WD I have no intention of getting stuck or going off the road just to prove myself to myself.

Los Angeles or Lower Alabama?

We need to break and dislodge, not season, the ice.
-
Would a 12 gauge slug or .45-70 be appropriate for breaking up some seriously thick ice on the front walkway?
-
What report would that be? Makes no difference really, let me guess what it says… LE response was unacceptable which everyone in the world knew within days, and guns bad.

Nah, you can just watch them sliding around on their new sheet of black ice tomorrow.
-
If that were true then we’d have a lot less internet yankees telling us how to run a proper winter.
-
No work tomorrow. I get to watch The Waltons again!

Sun’s going down and so are the temps. Now we’re going to freeze to death. There is going to be a seriously thick, icey crust on all this snow tomorrow. My final yardstick dip was around 1:30 this afternoon for 9”. At least they’re predicting sunshine tomorrow, but more “wintry mix” by Friday.

4WD and I don’t drive like that mode makes me somehow invincible as so many do. I also know what those two settings below D on the gear shifter are and make use of them when appropriate.
