  1. It is a 1949 post-war rebuild from the Royal Ordinance Factory - Fazakerley, England (F).  FTR stands for Factory Through Repair.
  2. ....and you were at a pawn shop.
  3.   It would be better that way.
  4. If he knew anything....he wouldn't be working at WalMart.  Not exactly the sharpest tacks in the box at that store.
  5. So the sales clerk at the ammo counter told you this?
  6.   Same size table-wise but less space.  The first couple of aisles to the left were compressed with more space give to the home & garden thing next door.  Went yesterday and it was basically impossible to move around.
  7. I saw lots of good, upstanding, anti-obama conservatives selling M855 for up to $1/round today.  I assume they were conservative as they were at a gun show and assuredly voted the right way.

  9.   Did your ol' lady just walk in?
  10.   Yep.  How does one even get a pistol into a holster like that?
  11. I saw one of the Hi Point forerunners today called a Haskell.  It was more hideous than the current offerings.
  12. Shoot it.  As Dave mentioned it's been polished so it's not exactly what a true collector would want anyway.
  13. http://www.aimsurplus.com/catalog.aspx?groupid=107&name=.30-30+Winchester
  14. That's not a Glock but does look built for speed.
  15. I call BS on that photo.
  16.   That makes about as much sense as "A" brand magazine being better than "B" brand magazine when they both work flawlessly 100% of the time.
  17. Federal is notorious for using small primers.
  18. What once was standard factory quality now demands "custom" quality pricing.  "We" may have the capability but there are very few with the skill set.  A brand new Python, produced at the same quality, using the same metallurgy as in the past would cost beyond $5,000.
  19.   I bought a brand new Smith & Wesson Model 66 around 1987.  As I recall the price was about the same....$225.  A Python would have been significantly more.
  20.   Interesting.  There are in fact two shows scheduled this weekend.  This is unprecedented.   The typical monthly (sometimes bi-weekly) RK show is at the Expo Center.   Then there's a "Rocky Top Gun Show" at Chilhowee Park.  https://gunshowtrader.com/gun-shows/chilhowee-rocky-top-gun-show/
  21. Pythons and Colt's in general have always been exquisitely priced.  Pretty sure they were much more than $300 new in 1989.
  22. Ya know, if it was not called a "penetrator" this particular round would probably have never been questioned.   BTW, Google is an incredible and very easy to use tool. ;)
  23. There's a show at the Expo, what's the other?   Either way, unless you really want to deal with a bunch of greedy bastards trying to sell you not-banned ammo at prices inflated beyond all common decency....I would say it's not worth the trouble.  However, if you have a specific need it may be worth it.
  24.   I'd say about $50 as that is what that box is supposed to sell for.
  25. I kinda dig xylophones and of course Led Zeppelin is the greatest band this world will ever see.
