Be careful if you do engage the bullet button in Cali because it will instantly make the weapon more deadly as it's been altered to to be more deadly by accepting high-capacity clips.

Maybe they're for the 9mm is just as good as .40 crowd.

Driving down Middlebrook Pike yesterday I saw banners flapping in the breeze that said "GUNS" next to the Domino's, across from Food City, east of Lovell Rd/Ball Camp Pike in the old First National Bank bldg.  Address is actually 9610 Countryside Center Lane but it's right there on Middlebrook.   Apparently a gun store just opened up there called Security Investment Appraisals.   Anyone scouted this place out yet?  They were closed when I was driving by but it was Sunday after all.

  I think the advice has always been not to carry your own personal reloads, not factory reloads.

I also vote for a Ruger Mark, maybe a Mark II.  You should be able to find one, at least the standard 4" tapered barrel version, for that price.   They are made of steel and will last forever.
