  If you ever have to bug out technology should be the last thing on your mind as there's not going to be any.   As far as the show goes they're probably too busy living.  Feeding and sheltering one's self can actually be a full time job, especially in a world where nothing is provided.

According to their Facebook page the range is closed today while they are "installing ballistic rubber to help stop the ricochet threat".   The last time I was there several years ago I had the pleasure of watching the biggest hunk of lead ever to leave a firearm headed right for me but it was moving slow and I simply stepped aside.

Just got back from the show.  First one I've been to a while and apparently haven't missed much.  Hung out with Fujimo for a bit and visited with David the reloading king (dlm37015).  He's got plenty of pistol powders at great prices if anyone's looking.   Didn't really see anything more, or less, than a typical Chilhowee show.  Still lots of people with, uh, girth issues, clogging up the aisles and the tell-tale smells of funk that cannot be escaped quickly.  I probably stunk myself but I only shower AFTER a show there, not before.     I left with a pound of W231 and a half pound of high-dollar, but very tasty, beef jerkey. 

Whoever pushed that M1 Carbine up to nearly $800 is going to be sorely disappointed.

I like Bill's Outpost over in Alcoa.  Great store with good prices.  You might even check if they already have a lower in stock.

I'm sure all the suburban ninnies and others who never go downtown, much less into the area in question are quite pleased now.
