  1.   I hope you didn't pay for that.
  2. Walmart has it from time to time. If you don't make it there before they sell out just check the local Armslist listings. The "capitalists" are there to help make sure you get what you need.
  3.   That's kinda what I thought.   What are you looking to do with it?  What parts do you need?  Post a pic of what you've got to work with.
  4. What's a Springfield 1917?
  5. That looks great.  You should be pleased.
  6. If you get a Yugo SKS a golf ball launcher is the only accessory you'll need... Along with some blanks and a huge field. Johnson Automatics used to make one that simply attached to the grenade launcher but I think they're out of business. Keep an eye out for Yugo heavy ball for the M39. It's surplus and corrosive but was made by Prvi in the 80's. It's brass-cased (not reloadable), with a 182 gr, lead-core bullet. Very good and accurate stuff. It still pops up from time to time.
  7. Cleaning up after shooting corrosive ammo is not that big of a deal. Many use Windex or hot soapy water before the regular cleaning. A mixture of Ballistol and water may work as well but I'v never tried it. I now only use WWII-era USGI issue bore cleaner. Bought about 12 cans of it 7 years ago and still have 10 left. It was specifically designed for corrosive ammo. It's still out there if you look hard enough. Can't comment on the price of that ammo as it is what it is. That's not double what it was a few years ago but close. Best not to worry about it too much and enjoy your new M39. It's the manliest of the Mosins.
  8. The reporter in the video specifically mentions "forty caliber". ;)

  10. Hate to tell you but surplus x54r has gotten scarce recently and the prices have gone up.  Don't know if that's a permanent thing or what.
  11.   They do indeed sell primers and they really need to put them behind the counter.  The last three times I've been there I've seen enough foolishness to make me wary of buying them.  People just can't seem to keep from opening them.  First was some girl who dumped 100 primers all over the shelf and floor.  Took her forever to pic them up and put them back in the tray.  Next time, same story but someone else.  Last time some guy rifled through nearly every pack on the shelf.  I don't know if he was looking for the perfect primer or what but he sure was trying.   There is a gun show this weekend.  TGO's favorite reloading supplier (dlm37015) is probably there and usually has what you need at very good prices.  His booth is under the big white with red letters "RELOADING SUPPLIES" sign.  As the show is at the Expo he'll be in the back right corner.
  12. Neighbors evacuated.  General chaos over 75 rounds of .40 cal ammo. I thought people in Texas had more sense.    http://news4sanantonio.com/news/local/75-rounds-of-ammunition-found-underneath-house-nearby-homes-evacuated
  13. Me too. I didn't know how that worked.
  14. If I can mark my answer as the best.  :D   Playtime's over.  The wife is home.
  15. What are you testing?
  16. This is a test.
  17.   But your post (#4) was marked best.  That's better than liking or quoting yourself.
  18. Now wait a minute.  How did you mark that BEST ANSWER?!?!
  19. You can't like your own posts.  It would be chaos.
  20.   His lawyers are probably already working on having that video taken down...if it is in fact, him.
  21. Most excellent.
  22.   You know that post is 4 years old, right?
  23. That Kim fella is crazier than a shithouse rat.
  24.   You can get those just about anywhere.  It's the sugarless ones that have the magic and apparently cannot be found in stores.
  25. I have been actively seeking these for years, ya know, for scientific research.  I'm not about to buy 5 lbs worth.
