  1. My first inclination is to think Glenn as he's been living on borrowed time since the dumpster incident.  Abraham, on the other hand didn't show nearly the fear that the rest of the bunch did.  That could have worked for him or against him during the selection.
  2. I'm already thinking about buying a box of ammo. Can a basic aluminum AR lower stand up the the awesome forces produced by the mighty .50 BMG?
  3. They do make a rimfire version.
  4. Mac 11's weight like 3.5 lbs, that's really not all that heavy.  My question is where was the clip?  That gun with magazine is not going to fit in any kind of sleeve.    Regardless, they've taken so many liberties with firearms in that show I've quit worrying about it.
  5. And he needs to be left alone as I just sent off for a letter.
  6. I like Eugene. He's the most intelligent of the bunch and is now coming around to where he might be able to take care of himself and contribute to the group's self-sufficiency rather than surviving off scrounging which is not sustainable in any one area.
  7. A "gun" is not the sum of its parts. You can disassemble it and send all the pieces mostly anywhere you want. The serial numbered receiver however is what the man and the various carriers consider the firearm. It must go through an FFL.
  8. "Hold on while I get my self-defense ready".
  9. No Confederate flag has 17 stars much less the "battle flag" of Tennessee.
  10.   The lawyers that are the cause of those labels are the same ones that will sue.  There is always some sleazy shyster out there who would sue just to see if there a settlement to be had.  Maybe the warning label was not big enough or written in plain enough language for this unfortunate dolt.
  11. I'm going to Safelite next Tuesday AM to have the windshield replaced on my 4Runner as it has a crack that grows daily. Called my insurance company (Erie) before doing anything.  They said go wherever you like and if it can be repaired they would waive the $250 deductible.  They've got a program with Safelite, just like many insurance companies do it sounds like, so I said that was fine with me as long as it's OEM glass.  That supposedly is what I'm getting.
  12. I take it you don't understand the basics of firearms safety and courtesy.
  13.     There are plenty of negative reviews on those as well.
  14.   Aerosol Rem Oil is good for hard to reach places as well.
  15. Thanks for the suggestions and offer.  This mag is one with the button activated bolt hold open.  I've decided not to fool with it any more as I only have two hands.  Got it cleaned up though, there was just some grime and nightstand dust in it.
  16. The barrel turned in the extension, the pin is probably still where it is supposed to be.  It doesn't always happen but it does.  That's why many recommend clamping the barrel itself when changing muzzle devices.
  17. Do anyone know how to get the follower out or ever tried to take one apart?  I have one that is filthy inside and want to clean it properly but whatever magic it takes escapes me.
  18. How are the grips not original? What else did your guy point out? I do question the ejector rod but the Standard Catalog notes that two styles were used.
  19. The only thing carbide in a carbide set is the sizing die.  You may try putting a tiny bit of lube on the expander so it slides on in there a little easier.   Or....the expander may be a little rough.  Wouldn't hurt to take it out and polish it up a bit.
  20. Not sure what to think of that.  I don't have much of a problem disengaging the safety with my thumb but engaging it is another mattter.  At that angle it might be even more difficult to flip.
  21. I've never heard the Ruger Mark series called 100% reliable.  They are ammo finicky just like any other .22.
  22. It does look like a .32 Hand Ejector 1st Model (Model 1896).  Caliber .32 S&W Long.
  23. I've heard that Troy Sellars of In Range in Kodak is one of the best AK mechanics in the business. Might want to give him a call....and tell that shade tree hack to pick up the tab.
  24.   I hope you didn't pay for that.
  25. Walmart has it from time to time. If you don't make it there before they sell out just check the local Armslist listings. The "capitalists" are there to help make sure you get what you need.
