  1. Bingo. That's what I was thinking of. Govdeals/Govliquidation, same differerence until you go to find something.
  2. That's like 150,000 cases. What are you up to? Check govdeals.com. They used to auction massive lots of brass like that....some up at Ft. Campbell. Don't know if they still do or not.
  3. Looks like the only options for rifles are "AK platform" and "AR platform". There are other types of rifles, so yeah, you might need to.
  4. Pretty sure they have a telephone. Why don't you call them before going?
  5. A $400 rifle does the exact same thing as one that costs far more...it puts a bullet where you want it to go.
  6. Settlement reached today in Vreeland suit...http://www.knoxnews.com/story/news/local/2017/01/27/city-strikes-deal-chilhowee-park-gun-ban/97148064/ No guns at the fair, events, or inside buildings but any other time you can carry at Chilhowee Park...and the city still insists is is not a park but concedes that it has historically been used as such.
  7. There is also an RK show in Knoxville this weekend. Are there enough neckbeards to man all the tables?
  8. Think it might be from that Russian spy chick Anna Chapman?
  9. A real crowd-pleaser, huh?
  10. And to make it even more fun the no gun signs were allowed to stay up, they just couldn't be replaced when the time came as part of normal maintenance.
  11. While the gun ownership questions have been answered sufficiently just know this: Tennessee, especially middle Tennessee, is nearly reaching carrying capacity of Northerners moving in for "freedom". To most of them that means freedom from paying exhorbitant taxes, not necessarily gun rights. They are changing to culture to suit "where they came from". If you choose to assimilate, and become an honorary Southerner, then welcome.
  12. Yes but many "crime guns" in the oppressive states and municipalities can be traced to less restrictive jurisdictions where they were legally bought. Not opining, just stating why the law is in place.
  13. I checked the status of mine just the other day. It said "processing".
  14. FYI, that ruling (and article) is nearly two years old. The case is now called Mance vs. Lynch (after Loretta), was appealed, and as far as I know currently sits in limbo.
  15. I have no military experience either but I don't think recruits get much more handgun training than what a Tennessee HCP applicant does.
  16. That's a good point you make. When the time comes if you start drooling too much the Social Security Administration might even revoke your privileges to own a gun. It takes years for those kind of actions to make it down to the state for enforcement. When it comes time I'll probably go lifetime but I think my renewal is 6 or 7 years off. Maybe by then it will be even cheaper.
  17. It needs a great big $ or two on it.
  18. I've received 15 in the past 4 days. It's getting rather tiresome.
  19. That is from a year ago and I'm part of the crowd that is not expecting it to ever happen...and if it does it won't be worth the trouble.
  20. Very, very nice! The stains could be blood of The Hun.
  21. Millions of soldiers all over the world have gone to war with "mil-spec" triggers for a couple of centuries and did just fine. Unless you're target shooting with a military rifle, what does it matter? I rarely screw with triggers... just learn how they break.
  22. I've got a nice little stack of free tarps in the garage. Going to pick up my free headlamp tomorrow.
  23. While we're at it and me being a Memphis boy...if you used to chew Super Bubble gum...it came from Memphis. Not anymore though.
