It's what I use to shoot up all the Remington Golden Bulllets I have. That thing eats it like candy. Hates other bulk ammo. But that's just my specimen. I still love it and it usually stays in the range bag.

I love my Bersa Thunder 22. It's a bit finicky on ammo as are all .22's are but runs like a champ on what it does like. It's my po' man's James Bond gun.

This. It must go through an FFL.

Did you know that M57's originally did not have a safety at all? It was added after the fact so it could be imported into the US. Thankfully, they were added at the original factory (Zastava) so they actually work, unlike the Romanian versions. Plus it's 1911 style which works and looks much better.

Willed possible antique, out of state.

As it was manufactured before 1899 it is an antique and therefore FFL regulations do not apply. Pick it up while you are there and bring it home.- 5 replies

Stopped by Goose Mountain today out in Farragut as I was in the area. Apparently management's plan seems to be to raise their ridiculous prices even higher. They had several Ruger SR1911's, just the basic stainless version in standard and commander sizes. The price: $999.99!

Tennessee is not hurting for morons but we're way ahead of flori-duh.

My first pistol was and still is a 39. Looks just like yours. Not gonna say how old I was when I got it because it's completely scandalous in this day and age. But I started reloading for it when I was like 13 or 14. Didn't know what the hell I was doing but never blew it up even though looking back I certainly was challenged in the crimping department. Came across some of the old loads many years later. Don't understand how the even chambered...some didn't. Picked up a 5904 a couple of years ago so I don't have to wear out the 39. It's not as pretty but is a mighty fine shooter.

What happened to the grip on that 29?

3 Shot Burst, But How?

I think the Marines do more with less primarily due to the fact that their budget is a fraction of the other branches. Like a single digit percentage of the entire DOD budget. -
That may be a cameraman.

Another company with worthless Customer Support [GoPro]
Garufa replied to DaveTN's topic in General Chat
A quick Google leads me to believe this is a common problem. You can get replacements kits off ebay, probably sold by "Jimmyb" and the rest of the Starbuck's slurping, unhelpful, greedy, "sorry for your trouble", California crowd. -
Well, Ford can't blame Firestone on this one. Sounds like a true manufacturing defect.

Pretty sure you'd be looking for another weapon then. -
Like monkeylizard said, annual membership is required for the 200 yard range.

There were actually several manufacturers of 1911A1's during WWII: Remington Rand (a typewriter company, not Remington Arms), Colt, Ithaca, Union Switch & Signal and Singer. Various production numbers among each but Remington Rand produced the most.

It was brilliant. However, stopping and getting out it the middle of the horde was about the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

I haven't forgotten. Am all revved up waiting for disappointment.

I think maybe it worked.

Man, you just brought up some memories. The Sistema in the OP was bought by Mike.357. It then went to Mark@Sea. Suntzu was the next owner. I remember it well as I fondled it all the way up to Mark's house back in the day. It was an excellent specimen with a very unique serial number...and a loose rear sight.
