It ain’t exactly Hi-Point ugly but close. Reminds me of a Remington Viper, one of the ugliest (and biggest POS) rifles ever invented. I like the idea but will wait awhile until the recall is done and maybe some other variations are introduced.

Just came here to post this and yes, it is ugly. Apparently, Ruger has yet to find a graphic designer or someone with some sense of aesthetics, but it is interesting. Has interchangeable mag wells for use with Ruger SR-style or Glock mags. Big, huge bonus right there. I also like the take-down capability.

Sounds like the firing pin may be getting sticky from crud. I would disassemble the bolt for a deep clean or blast it with aerosol Remoil, it’s good at loosening up fouling.

Don't think so. Hydroshock's have been around some time and HST's are the renamed/marketed Black Talon's iirc. You do not recall correctly. Black Talons were from Winchester.

I would properly lubricate, as in grease the slide rails, before trying anything else...if you haven’t done so already. I use Tetra grease but that’s just who I am. I cured similar issues on my old SA 1911 by doing that very thing.

What is Haul�

I have always preferred Marlins but Winchester’s have stronger actions. If you want to goober up a lever action with a scope then Marlin is the way to go.

If you’re not going into battle the Hungarian 20 round “tanker” mags are the best if you can find them at a reasonable price. I have several and they are great.

Congrats. XD’s aren’t much to look at but I think they are great shooters.

And G2 Shields offer what? Overly abrasive grips that many he-men will complain about and start destroying with sandpaper?
