There have been all kinds of problems with their 9mm’s from what I hear. Constantly changing parts, specs, this and that kind of lower, compatibility with other manufacturers, etc. Again, there is no standard for those. Their AR-15 stuff is compatible with anyone else’s.

I take mine out for quality time at the range! 100 rounds every year or two is not going to hurt it. Go shoot it. If you’re as retentive about the special guns as I am it won’t even look like it was ever fired when you’re done.
-
Mine is too for the most part but I do take it out once every couple of years for some quality time. It really is a great gun, one of the best 9’s ever. I’ll never let it go.

You won’t be disappointed. Mighty fine pistols they are.
-
Proprietary in what way? Their 9mm and .308 AR’s might have some compatibility issues with parts but there is no standard for those. Their regular AR’s are just that, regular, or as “mil-spec” as is possible in the civilian market.

I do like the grips. It comes with a gold clip as well.

That’s hideous. It should appeal to Trump’s gaudy tastes.

Battle Arms Development Paratrooper
Garufa replied to Garufa's topic in National Firearms Act (NFA) Regulated
I think you’re right. The cheek piece is essentially “simulated wood grain” like in a fancy car dashboard. I’d expect more from a $3k weapon but you know how I roll, lol. -
Having removed an A2 sight assembly/gas block the proper way I understand why Bubba reaches for the saw or Dremel. If done right, a saw job is not that bad from a looks standpoint, but Bubba does not have have a phosphorus finishing tank.

The latest iteration of tacticool weapons doesn't usually rev my engine but this is simply stunning: http://www.battlearmsdevelopment.com/paratrooper-7-5-300blk-pdw-sbr

It looks kinda like a CZ-75/Sig P210 love child.

Straight-cut lands and grooves and grooves is the trick! http://www.recoilweb.com/franklin-armorys-reformation-revealed-133042.html

Did I get your panties in a wad? If so, get over it. If not, then carry on with the commiseration.

Bearcats are the dandiest little .22 pistols ever. Never held the Shopkeeper version but I absolutely love my regular one. They really are just pure fun. Not sure what the current prices are and that seems a bit high but I would have that over a Single Seven any day.

There seemingly is a 500 pound gorilla around every corner these days. Since you started this thread what set you off? Might help to just let it out.

I think everyone, myself included, needs to go spend an entire day at the range, then spend half the night cleaning guns or otherwise occupy themselves in a way that does not include the internet or television. It’s taken me a long time to realize but bitching about other people bitching does nothing but raise one’s blood pressure just prior to a few minutes of calm satisfaction after enough people have bitched along with you. Then the cycle starts all over again.

Glad your getting it figured out. The manual also discusses disassembly. Don’t do it! They either go back together with little effort or will have you cussing and throwing the thing across the room.

A Knoxville store had some but sold out according to their Facebook page. $679.99

Here is a link to the instruction manual. You may want to read it. https://ruger-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/_manuals/markIII.pdf

I will never have one myself as they don’t do a thing for me but for those who need such things, caveat emptor.
-
That is actually an MG34, the 42's predecessor.

That link is to submit an email to some gmail account. This is the actual proposed rule as published in the Federal Register: https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2017/12/26/2017-27898/application-of-the-definition-of-machinegun-to-bump-fire-stocks-and-other-similar-devices.

Not to mention we are approaching that time of year that all the bill collectors start jacking rates to chisel every last nickel out of you.
