Would a 12 gauge slug or .45-70 be appropriate for breaking up some seriously thick ice on the front walkway?
-
What report would that be? Makes no difference really, let me guess what it says… LE response was unacceptable which everyone in the world knew within days, and guns bad.
-
Nah, you can just watch them sliding around on their new sheet of black ice tomorrow.
-
If that were true then we’d have a lot less internet yankees telling us how to run a proper winter.
-
No work tomorrow. I get to watch The Waltons again!

Sun’s going down and so are the temps. Now we’re going to freeze to death. There is going to be a seriously thick, icey crust on all this snow tomorrow. My final yardstick dip was around 1:30 this afternoon for 9”. At least they’re predicting sunshine tomorrow, but more “wintry mix” by Friday.

4WD and I don’t drive like that mode makes me somehow invincible as so many do. I also know what those two settings below D on the gear shifter are and make use of them when appropriate.

My ‘02 4Runner with nearly brand new tires is the snow master. Went out earlier today to the corner store when there was only 4” of snow on the ground. Just did it again with 8” or so of this mess because of wife.

The snow has stopped for now but Knoxville is still smack dab in the middle of light blue on the radar. More accumulation is predicted, flash freezing, black ice, all manners of chaos.

A good 7" inches now in West Knox. Still coming down hard. No end in sight. This may be my last transmission.....
-
Almost 6” on the ground now, nearly an inch in the past hour. Still coming down heavily.
-
Little over 5” here in my part of West Knoxville and it looks like it’s snowing harder than it has all day.
-
So when the heat goes out they can plug in the electric heaters.
-
Not a problem. Working a VCR would be like using a rotary phone for that bunch.

That name makes me giggle. I bet it was hell for him growing up. Sorry, but I’m still a juvenile, lol.

Big difference between first time shooters and first time gun owners. If I introduce someone to shooting then they are going to have a sit down to go over the basic safety rules and basic operation of the firearm(s) involved including some dry-firing. Then I will still be standing right behind them when they start popping off shots. For new gun owners I don’t get asked too much, but if I did it would probably be a single shot .22 considering how people are these days.

ad closed SOLD: Smith and Wesson Model 39
Garufa replied to FireMedic's topic in Firearms Classifieds
The Model 39 is one of the best pistols ever made. -
Looks like the Huskies are going to be looking for a new coach. DeBoer is Alabama bound.
-
Excise them demons! In all seriousness he is a great coach, one of the best ever whose accomplishments will live on in the annals of college football history. His name will never be forgotten and will surely be repeated in every football game henceforth until the end of time. I wonder if all the Bama chicks are going to stop wearing Bear Bryant hats and start wearing powder blue blazers. Go Vols!

Tips for lapping a 1911 slide to frame?

Why not just shoot it a bunch first to break it in? -
Now, that gets my attention!!

Don’t know what EO you are referring to but basically since the government was founded: Congress, the legislative branch, passes very broad, general laws. All the agencies under the executive branch’s control enact and enforce regulations more or less within the framework of those laws passed. The POTUS can order the branches of government under that position’s direct control to regulate what is so deemed. Sometimes, it’s not perfect, but that’s the system we have.
