I just heard the The Eagles Greatest Hits 71-75 is now the greatest selling album of all time, surpassing MJ’s Thriller. Perhaps the world is correcting. Edit: it regained the top spot lost to Thriller 10 years ago.

Not a band. While he had the “Experience” behind him, he was the talent. One of the greatest guitarists of all time, no doubt.

The Stones are one of the greatest, but not the greatest. Not by a long shot. Their longevity and hits put them in top rankings but they have put out tons of crap over the years. On the other hand their bluesy stuff is exceptional. They are the most business savvy band in the business.

If we’re gonna about the greats let’s hear why. Like I said, my #1 is Zeppelin because there is not a single thing they ever recorded that I don’t like. Turns out the best thing they ever did was covers. This is powerful stuff here. It rocks and it’s just fun.

Led Zeppelin The Beatles The Who Rolling Stones CCR and all the rest of them. I’m pretty set on 1 and 2 as personal favorites.
