I started reading the House judiciary’s amendment version of the bill today. It is full of citations from overwhelmingly anti-gun organizations and media outlets, not to mention a bullet list of all the notorious mass shooting of the last decade or so in which a background check was done or would not have mattered. God help us all when the Dems take total control in two to four years.

If you clear the codes without fixing the problem won’t the check engine light just come back on? I assume that light is the problem?

A mean hog in combat needs to be thumped with a big bullet. A .44 magnum would be the best choice if it was me. A varient of the S&W 29 would absolutely be a great, classic choice. They also now make a 5 shot L-frame .44 which is a bit smaller and lighter.

I’ve never blown a gun up but did have to dodge a bullet at an indoor range once. A massive hunk of lead and copper, richocet of some kind, came right for me but luckily I saw it. Doubt it would have killed me but I would have had a serious headache for a long time.

If you shoved a .45 brush through a .30 bore that many times I’d say that’s enough. Personally, I’d go through it a couple of times with an 8mm brush, then continue as usual with a .30. There is no magic solvent. I’d just push a sloppy wet patch through the barrel of CLP or Kroil and let it sit for a day. Wipe clean, then repeat. I’ve fussed with mil-surps long enough to know they will never be clean.

Sounds like it might have been put away after shooting corrosive ammo without proper cleaning. Keep scrubbing but don’t be too aggressive. It will probably be ok.
