  1. Was he wearing his “Churchill hat” while discussing domestic issues with that pompous British ass?
  2. Perhaps if it is as innocent as it sounds, the NRA might find themselves in a bidding position if some type of RFP is put on the streets for a program.
  3. Here you be. From the Department of Public Safety appropriation: 48. Statewide Safe Gun Storage Campaign. Included in the amounts appropriated above in Strategy G.1.1, Headquarters Administration, is $500,000 in fiscal year 2020 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2021 in General Revenue to establish and promote a statewide safe gun storage campaign. The public awareness campaign shall begin no later than September 1, 2020. The public awareness campaign may include online materials, printed materials, public service announcements, or other advertising media. The public awareness campaign may not convey a message that it is unlawful under state law to keep or store a firearm that is loaded or that is readily accessible for self-defense. https://capitol.texas.gov/BillLookup/History.aspx?LegSess=86R&Bill=HB1
  4. I was wondering when someone was going to broach the subject. NFA items used in crimes is a rarity.
  5. Does that include the mount as well? Those are not cheap at all.
  6. Yeah, I’d say you done good.
  7. Being a Marlin bolt-action .22 I doubt you're going to need a scope. It's probably a tack driver. Is the receiver grooved for a scope mount? If so, any basic rimfire scope should be fine.
  8. What’s to pay attention to? If you are between 18 and 21 you’re living in that gray that you mentioned as far as carrying a gun in your car. Phone calls to the Sheriff don’t mean jack. Carrying around a bunch of papers and playing roadside lawyer will get you jack as well. Cops do not know the fine nuances of the law. They are not lawyers, prosecutors, or judges, just underpaid folks doing what they’re told to do. Point being...what’s the rush to be armed?
  9. The only difference between dems and r’s is many dem’s publicly denounce corporations while being passed the same checks under the table.
  10. And I think they already live among us. Earth might just be the dumping ground for the galaxies’ castoffs. Not much better explanation for the foolishness going on.
  11. These mags aren't the only new thing. Looks like there's a new P365 coming out as well...the XL. Longer slide and grip.
  12. Empty what?
  13. Busch Gardens is supposed to be nice.
  14. Dry firing a rimfire is generally not a good idea as the firing pin might slam against the chamber wall causing damage to the pin and possibly peening the outer chamber as well. Expensive snap caps are usually the answer. Well, if you didn’t know, yellow drywall anchors are about the exact same size as a .22 round and cost only pennies each. They even extract in semi autos. BTW, I doubt they work for loading up a mag and running drills...if one wanted to do such a thing.
  15. A 1911 will not come apart if you don’t take the magazine out.
  16. YouTube is probably the greatest invention since books and libraries for getting stuff done.
  17. While I’ve never done it, chopping a stock and installing a new recoil pad is fairly common for shotguns. Many of the available recoil pads are designed to be ground down (on the sides) to fit flush with the stock.. Check MidwayUSA to see what they offer for pads.
  18. Satan is against everything. I listened to the indicated time frame of your post and simply cannot see any relation to the 2A.

    AK deal!

If I’m not mistaken DDI was a company out of Knoxville before PSA bought them out a couple of years ago.

    Keltec CP33

It definitely looks cool and I bet it handles very well, however, I have no interest at all in loading those magazines. That would get old mighty quick.
  21. I’m interested in this as well. Got a Roku a few weeks ago and have just been playing around with the free “channels” and throwing up YouTube videos on the big screen.
  22. The “antique car” was a WW II Jeep on display, something he article conveniently leaves out. Regardless, plenty of stupid to go around here.
  23. Growing up just wouldn’t have been the same without him
  24. If I’m not mistaken dealers buy the stamps from the state then slap them on whatever size container of ammo. Tax paid. It costs the state $19k to run the program that results in $436k net income. I call that highly efficient and a ROI any business would be envious of.
