  1. They have him on surveillance camera entering the store. It is clearly an AK pattern rifle.
  2. It’s starting to sound like the shooter is another crazy, racist, white boy. This time with an AK. Just damn.
  3. Lol, is he on the scene?
  4. Just so everyone is clear, the Type 56’s currently on the market are not “Norinco”. They mostly are 60’s era military issue that predate Norinco and their commercial production.
  5. Teenage angst.
  6. Seeing a battleship gun on a railroad car really puts things into perspective. They’re huge.
  7. If a Glock slide, barrel, etc., on the Polymer80 frame produces the same results it’s time to talk to them. Problems are not unheard of with these builds and a quick Google search shows all kinds of random issues with these frames.
  8. This is probably the biggest class action lawsuit in history and the reality is it is nothing more that that, a class action lawsuit. That means by the time everyone gets on board you might get a buck or two. No one is going to get a check for $125. As has been pointed out only $31M has been set aside for direct payment. That covers 248,000 of the 147M people affected. As more people sign up, that pool of money diminishes and it doesn’t matter if you sign up today or in the next few months. If you file for costs associated with your time trying to unscrew the damage...that is also capped at $31M total for everyone who files. BTW, all this information can be found in the FAQ of that third party website. Oh, and the lawyers are getting up to $80,500,000 out of the total $380M (roughly) settlement. I am all for for sticking it to Equifax but the reality is little will change.
  9. Russians do know how to adapt.
  10. Is that a bad thing?
  11. My 67A was my dad’s as well but it’s had a rough life. The only reason I still have it is because I found it in a trash pile by the curb at my grandmother’s house when I was about 10. Dad had no more interest in and had much better things by then, he also claimed it had a bent barrel, that proved to be wrong years later but It didn’t have a front sight. Anyway, I held onto that thing for years but it never got any respect or care like our other guns. A few years ago I finally got all the rust off of it, reblued, and refinished the stock (also sanding out a huge letter M burned into the stock). Installed a new front sight and cleaned the seriously fuzzy bore. It shoots just like I expected a rifle from that era to. Incredibly. Very accurate. It’s amazing how fast you can start feeding a single-shot once you get a rhythm going. If I’m not mistaken it’s a John Moses Browning design. Don’t let the name Mini-Mag fool you. They aren’t that hot...Federal bulk is faster. Why they are is consistent and well made, leading to better than average accuracy. Shoot whatever you want out of it. Like any other .22 it’ll like some brands better than others.
  12. The only problem with building an AR-10 is there is no standard, much less “milspec”. It can be daunting for someone who doesn’t want to deal with figuring out all the nuances of manufacturer gen this and manufacturer gen that, and general compatibility of parts. Buying one already made with no intention of a lot of changes might be the way to go for some.
  13. How does it mount on a Shield?
  14. Not sure what’s in thank link as it’s an account logout but PSA has crazy options and constant sales. They do stand behind their products as well. If you “upsize” a bit on uppers the barrels are made by FN, as in the same company that makes USGI barrels. Used to be the Premium line or some thing like that.
  15. Oh, I know all about that. No way on earth I’m gonna pay that much for a range toy, lol. I’ve got my dad’s 1980 vintage Marlin .45-70 that provides the big-bore lever action jollies when needed. But a .50 cal would be cool.
  16. That’s an excellent suggestion actually. Other than the goofy looking front sight/gas block. They have a 1:8 twist barrel which is the ideal IMHO.
  17. Wow, I had no idea prices were that low now. It is the time to buy if you want an AR. Prices may or may not get very stupid in the fall of 2020.
  18. I really wouldn’t worry about it too much. After The Man comes to take our guns and you’re ever found with one that can’t be explained, you’ll be put under the jailhouse.
  19. Yeah, you told @Erik88 you ain’t got no money.
  20. You can get all kinds of brand new AR’s for less than $550 unless you just don’t want to buy new from a dealer. Don’t have any specific recommendations because there are just so many options. The S&W is very well respected. Don’t know much about the Savage. You might also check Palmetto State Armory online. They are a giant in the business and generally are excellent rifles with lots options and features for the price.
  21. I’d still like to see Marlin come out with a .500 S&W Magnum. Even .460 would be interesting but a .500 1894 carbine would give me the giggles.
  22. That offends the eyes. Not as bad as that Mossberg abomination that came out a few years ago, but still awful.
  23. I would go for a brand new Marlin 1894c in .357. Marlin has retooled and more or less fixed the problems of the past few years with this model. The fit and finish on one I almost bought was excellent (for a gun made in 2018). The only reason I didn't buy it was because the Ruger PC carbine was a more immediate need.
  24. Glad to hear you’re not going to butcher it. While there were a ton of them made, they’re not cheap anymore and it’s just not worth the trouble. Go ahead and start putting some LR’s through it, that rifle will last longer than all of us here.
  25. Gen 4 G21’s are SF size without the add-on backstraps. It’s what I have and it is basically a pez dispenser of ammo it’s so easily to shoot.
