  1. Through out the first few digits of the serial # on the butt and I’ll look it up in The Standard Catalog. You might as well get some ammo while it’s available. I think it’s kinda seasonal. https://aimsurplus.com/ammunition/38-s-w/
  2. I don’t know but they hold cosmoline very well.
  3. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that coming.
  4. DDI was a Knoxville outfit as was Waffen Werks. Neither means doodly-squat now, but DDI did make some quality AK’s. Never buy a used PSA AK. They mistakenly started out with cast parts, like many other American makers, and is typical of them, they go through a couple of “gens”. Looks like they are now using forged parts, at least if you pay a little more.
  5. And now for the rest of the story... https://www.syracuse.com/crime/2019/08/cny-homeowner-who-shot-killed-2-intruders-has-charges-dropped.html The charges were dropped and the house was condemned because it was a dump that had no electricity or running water. No doubt charging him for possession of the gun was just plain wrong, but thankfully cooler heads prevailed.
  6. Those were they days. We also had windows that rolled down all the way, no stupid-ass electronic sensors that cost too much and don’t work, and far more intelligent people going about life. I used to stand up in the passenger seat of mom’s VW Squareback riding around town, lol. But she sure as hell did not leave me in the car, ever, especially with windows and doors that won’t open.
  7. Google the Christian-Newsome murders in Knoxville from 2007. You might get an idea of why some deserve death as a penalty. The family of those two kids just finished the latest trial of an entire series of trials that has been going on for 12 years.
  8. Have you ever heard of “swatting” where someone calls the law on someone else they want to screw with claiming they are going crazy with a gun in their house? Imagine that going mainstream.
  9. Can’t help with recipes but that’s kind of a rare gun isn’t it? Not many K-frame M&P .32’s were made. Not saying you shouldn’t shoot it, I’m just impressed you have one!
  10. Do they all work?
  11. I hate cleaning AR's more than shotguns but it gets done, lol.
  12. Such hand-wringing, tinfoil hat threads are always entertaining. If you don’t have what you want (or need) by now you’ve been sleeping, or worse, just complacent. Accept it or not but the winds are changing and the ninnies are driving the boat. Stock up all you want but I seriously believe future bans, and they are coming, will not include any grandfathering. Bump stocks are an excellent example of that, regardless of what one thinks of them.
  13. Other than wiping one down with some oil after handling, this is my position unless some real compelling arguments can be made to the contrary.
  14. So who keeps a refrigerator outside in the carport? Even in the sticks that’s an invitation.
  15. And ticks, stupid heat, cockleburs in your shoes, etc. The boonies of West TN is no place to be hiding out this time of year. I doubt he put up much of a fight.
  16. Skeeters.
  17. Just put the aquarium wherever you want. Making sure it spans floor joists might be a good idea rather that it being parallel to them. In today’s plump society can you imagine the weight a couple in a nice bed puts on an upstairs floor?
  18. Adobe is ending support for Flash in 2020 but Google is still obnoxious...that’s why I don’t use Chrome.
  19. No need to get (too) snarky. E is only pointing out some of the rampant hypocrisy among those who vote along party lines in the guise of single issue concerns, then can’t handle the fact that, or make excuses for, their candidate’s not doing everything the way they expected.
  20. Whenever this takes effect: HCP today = “Enhanced” Permit. You’ll renew by the expiration date shown on your current HCP permit but who knows what kind of complications they’ll cook up by then.
  21. PSA changes their prices on a daily basis.
  22. Why go to the trouble when you could just buy snap caps and not worry about gunking up your firing pin, or exposing it to moisture that clay naturally has.
  23. Yes it has, with no provision for loss of revenue for funding TWRA that I’m aware of. It’s been discussed several times here. Everybody can save a dime now!
  24. https://www.foxnews.com/us/dayton-ohio-shooting-massacre-bar Pic within.
  25. It will be interesting to see what he proposes. I have a feeling he’s going to do something and just a few options are: 1. Universal background checks. 2. National “red flag” law. 3. Mental evaluation for all firearm purchases. 4. Banning “the brace” or high capacity magazines. Fox News is showing a pictures claiming to be the Ohio shooter’s weapon. It is an AR pistol with some variation of a brace (that can easily be shouldered) and big drum magazine.
