  1. It’s not as simple as that. It is holding parents responsible for the actions of their minor child. Big difference.
  2. You bring up an excellent point. It is often said that one who carries a firearm for self defense is not responsible for the protection of others. Is the state now making teachers responsible for the safety of kids in their classrooms using deadly force? Will they have the same training and legal protections of LE?
  3. Go get a 16” .308 with no muzzle device and report back .
  4. That .308 AK was probably what set off the uptight neighbor. Without a doubt one of the loudest guns I’ve ever heard.
  5. There is now. What’s your recipe?
  6. Anyone remember 311 from the ‘90’s? They’re tighter than ever now, lol.
  7. Are you a retired Firefighter from CT? With a guaranteed pension? I ask because there are also one helluva lot of people moving in with pensions from those liberal states. Pensions are nearly a thing of the past in our conservative utopia.
  8. It is putting a massive strain on healthcare resources. Knoxville doesn’t have the medical infrastructure to handle this kind of growth, especially from a regional standpoint. Another big problem is resources for the elderly. Not only are there not enough independent and assisted living facilities, many transplants are bringing their parents or whatever with them and putting them directly into those kinds of places. Not to mention possibly being at the age themselves they might need one soon.
  9. East TN is full.
  10. Well, the term “common sense” has been in use forever. Those who throw it around the most usually don’t know what they’re talking about.
  11. And if we stopped all foreign funding we will essentially be flushed down the toilet of world history. Maybe Chinese and Russian children will be taught in future generations of the capitalist pigs that lived on this continent, but only in terms of reinforcing their own superiority.
  12. Then the price of new cars just went up. Like they’re already affordable.
  13. Depending on the transportation of goods affected by this incident, you might be paying out of pocket at the store just like everyone has in the past 4 years. Prices have gone up tremendously and that is directly related to pandemic policies and the disruption of the supply chain. If the bridge is that important then “we” will pay to rebuild it asap. Your tax dollars, mine, and everyone else that pays federal taxes. Even Biden’s government will go after whoever they can for compensation from insurance or the shipping company that owns the defective ship.
  14. Yep. I wonder how much prices in general are going to go up now due to this new hitch in the supply chain. I’m being a bit facetious, but also serious. Where do the boats with European ammo shipments land? Hope it’s not around there.
  15. SSDD. This has been proposed before, probably every year by now.
  16. Nothing wrong with it at all, but it is ok to let some go if you really want or need to. I’ve only sold 2 of my father’s guns. One, a beat up 1918 peddled scheme Enfield that was half-assedly sporterized and missing the saftey. I pulled it out of a trash heap by the street at my grandmother’s house when I was a kid and even he said he didn’t want it, lol. The other was a Marlin bolt action .22 Magnum. He bought it when I was a kid, why .22 Magnum I have no idea. Great rifle and if was .22lr I might have kept it…but I’ve uh, expanded the collection since then and there’s only so much space. Don’t miss them at all, some his others I’ll never let go of.
  17. Was that the one outside Murville where the guy from a new subdivision next door came out hollering about his kid taking a nap at 2 o’clock in the afternoon? Then the law showed up and told us to have a good time.
  18. I was there. Good time!
  19. I don’t think there been a big East TN TGO shootenanny in nearly 10 years. Used to have some good ones! Didn’t you host one time?
  20. You mean an invisible fence? Once a dog gets up the gumption and charges across the line, they won’t do it again to get back in the perimeter.
  21. I do believe @FUJIMO goes to middle TN regularly. Y’all work something out.
  22. This. A regular dentist is just as important as any other kind of doctor. As has been pointed out there is a huge correlation between dental health and overall health. My wife and I both go in every 6 months for tooth maintenance to the same dentist I used for years before we even met. X-rays are done every 18 months now if I recall correctly, used to be every other visit, regardless we keep up with the teeths and if there’s ever a problem we can get in quick or have an emergency backup if needed. Luckily, I have a decent dental insurance plan. Never had one till I had to write a check for a crown my wife needed because the cost was a wash. Paid the same amount in insurance every year as out of pocket. Then she had a root canal, and it was worth it. Long story short…regular visits, cleanings, and x-rays are really not that expensive, but major issues are Hope you tooth gets better @DeepSouth and you get to keep it.
  23. I’ll never run out of SMP 842.
  24. You came out on top of that deal.
