Analysis: Colt simply can’t compete and never could, at least in the past few decades in the civilian market IMHO. They thrive off government contracts and have done so since the company was founded. The media is, and will, portray Colt’s press release as saying that there are too many AR’s in civilian hands and that only the government should have them. Edit: The damage is done.
