  1. Here's most everything you need to know about operating the rifle, especially if you're after Nazis and Japs: https://ia800504.us.archive.org/0/items/How_to_Shoot_the_US_Army_Rifle/How_to_Shoot_the_US_Army_Rifle.pdf
  2. There is no doubt others are now making reliable .22 mags that break the 10 round barrier, but we are talking about Glock here.
  3. There is a reason most .22 semis have a 10 round mag and it has nothing to do with politics.
  4. What is MFT? Throw it out and get USGI or Magpul clips.
  5. I do not cast and never have but know enough to recommend melting lead (and breathing the fumes) in a very well ventilated location. Like outside.
  6. Is it a an HRA? 555xxxx is Harrington Richardson. If you pull the op rod back the barrel make and date information will be visible.
  7. Congratulations! Great rifle that you’re going to love. The wood may not be original or matching, but I think you did alright considering the prices these days and you were ready to just get it done. Have yet to reload for one but there is plenty of info out there, especially on the CMP forum, about duplicating M2 ball. I believe IMR 4895, something around 48 grains, and of course, a 150 grain pill.
  8. For plastic mags I just wipe the powder residue off the follower and lips with a rag infused with a little CLP. Blued and stainless mags the same but I wipe the entire mag down with CLP, generously if they’re not it going to be used for a while. Rarely, if ever, do I go to the trouble of disassembling and cleaning the innards. It’s just not necessary unless you’re having magazine problems.
  9. "When loading your rifle, be careful, madam, to direct the barrel of your weapon towards the ground."
  10. PSA has them right now for $399.99.
  11. Yes. 5.55/.223, 7.63x39, and .300 Blackout are all going. Those are all “assault rifle” calibers.
  12. And here it is: https://www.smith-wesson.com/9ez
  13. You'd think but..... "One pilot called base security at NAS Pensacola and other Navy bases “mall cops,” because protection on the base has been outsourced to private security and many were “fat and out of shape.” “I have zero confidence the guy I show my ID card to at the gate could save me,” one pilot added. Fox News spoke to three Navy instructor pilots Tuesday." https://www.foxnews.com/us/nas-pensacola-shooting-navy-instructor-pilots-arm-us
  14. It’s fun to watch all the kids try to keep up with model numbers. S&W started the insanity back in the late 1950’s. Before that guns had names, they just came in different calibers, lol.
  15. Prices are slashed in Knoxville as well and it’s going fast. Word has gotten out.
  16. I am prepared to be completely underwhelmed with whatever Glock brings tomorrow.
  17. With Nazis?
  18. It took three Gens to get rid of the grooves. Maybe they’ll make every model a Gen 5, or better yet go back to 2.
  19. Zombie Apocalypse is a strange place to post this.
  20. There is not a dealer in East Tennessee that requires it. They can’t require it. You might need to have a discussion with the dealers you buy from.
  21. Providing SSN is not required. It is on the 4473 but optional.
  22. The PPK/s 22’s are made in Germany by Umarex (as has already been mentioned). Walther Arms (US) is based in Fort Smith, AR. They import the pistols. Guns do not get imported without a US name on them. The right side is stamped: Walther Arms Fort Smith, AR
  23. Or Berkeley liberals? Regardless, I am sick and damn tired of CC security breaches. “Checking your statements and credit report” is poor recompense for having to deal with such a violation of one’s business.
  24. I’ve been jonesing for a .22 “Walther” for quite some time and have been watching the prices on these drop the past couple of years. Thing is I already have a po’ man’s James Bond gun and it’s a dandy. Bersa Thunder .22 that eats Remington Golden Bullets like candy, lol.
