  1. It has gotten really hard to not violate one of the major rules, "If you don't want bad stuff to happen, don't go where bad stuff happens." (cleaned up for the kids) The potential for it to happen anywhere is higher than one would have ever bet on just a few years ago.
  2. Looks like he was on the force since January 2022 and did not have any prior law enforcement experience and from what Chucktshoes posted, probably little to no experience under stress. I've been saying for a while now that I worry more about an interaction with the police than I do with any criminal element. At least with the a criminal, I know who they are and it is unlikely they'll be calling in backup. Even though I may have to deal with a Soros placed DA, either way.
  3. I appreciate and understand the question as it isn't posted anywhere but I'm sure almost everyone here will agree, that just being a participant on this forum ranks you higher than the vast majority of people I run into everyday.
  4. I am looking for a “factory” mount for an Aimpoint PRO optic. I believe this mount was used with the PRO and the CompM4 optics. I am looking for the complete mount (QRP2 Quick Release Mount, 30 mm Ring base, spacer) or just the 30mm top ring. If you have the original Aimpoint mount sitting around unused and may be interested in getting rid of it, let me know. I would consider taking the Aimpoint PRO Optic with the Aimpoint mount, if you have one you are thinking of parting with. PM me if you have something you are willing to discuss. Thank you for your time.
  5. southernasylum, let us know your thoughts on the Omega 36M after you get to play with it a little, I you could.
  6. I agree with this. I have a trust and it has it's own checking account. A good friend suggested I fund the account with the funds for what I wanted &/or set up a regular monthly addition to it so it would contain the funds for everything I wanted so the funds were already set aside for the items. I ended up purchasing similar to how you did.
  7. No truer words. Suppressors, firearms, performance cars, boats, planes and women. The easy part is saving up to purchase them. It is the cost of keeping them running and accessorized that'll kill you.
  8. I was told that if you can only buy one can, it should be a .22lr. Not sure if I completely agree, but his real point was that no matter what I got, I should also get a dedicated .22. I can't say it was bad advise.
  9. Very nice. Congratulations on getting it home where it belongs.
  10. They weren't saying this as they would just lay their hands on you for a little re-alignment when necessary.
  11. Freedom, responsibility, respect...
  12. I have not but I will drop you a note if I see one as I am continually window shopping. Looks just started shipping out to dealers. It'll be interesting to see how quickly accessories for it come about. Just like an Audi or BMW, the purchase price is often the cheapest thing.
  13. He has a book out as well. Kyle Rittenhouse Acquitted.
  14. PM Sent
  15. Looks like it is East Tennessee State University on February 8th, Hope he hits other places in the state.
  16. Thoughts and prayers for a smooth procedure and a quick recovery.
  17. Anyone know when they spin up dodgeball?
  18. I took a MIG class at The Forge in Nashville. It was just an introduction and it made for a fun evening. They did a good job and I plan on going back to take the TIG class they offer. I think getting the fundamentals from a little hands-on training, get a hold of a welder and some metal, fire up the YouTube and start burning away, is a good way to go about it. I have looked for classes that were made for the hobbyist but they all seem to be intro classes like this or full "degree" type programs. This is my plan. https://www.theforgenashville.org/
  19. I have fond memories of them and their show.
  20. Whatever it is, I'm sure she will enjoy using it.
  21. That's funny. I saw the headline to your post in my email and before I saw what you wrote in the body of the post, I was thinking, he needs to be scared.
  22. I'm with you. I finally retired my 50" Panasonic G series for an LG 65" C1. That Panasonic Plasma is still going at my daughter's. Deep blacks and the whites are like cream. But the only thing I regret about moving to the LG OLED is that I didn't go with the 77". I thought the move to 65" would be enough... but it wasn't. The OLED is amazing especially with HDR content. There is no going back.
