  1. I have taken the position over the past few years that if I think I might want it or need it in the future, I get it as soon as possible without paying a premium due to demand. I figure, if I end up not wanting it or needing it, I can sell it (though this may get more difficult due to the increasing BS). Prices probably won't go down in the future especially with inflation and even if I take a little hit selling it, it was worth it. I believe we should all take this position with things like parts, magazines and other accessories as well. People often forget about what it takes to keep something running after they purchase it.
  2. It is great to see that we are getting to post who has the best approval time and it is days instead of months.

    Happy Easter

Amen. Everyone have a great day. I hope you all get to spend it with those you love and care for.
  4. From your post I assume the the suppressor you have came as a direct thread only. I would hope that Sig's QD Mounting system could be added and this would give you the option of changing out different mounts. I know it adds expense. You would think that Sig would have other options for direct thread but it is Sig. If you decide to add this you can also research to see what other systems may be compatible and if they may be better for you such as Deadair's etc... I have found that purchasing a suppressor is like getting a vehicle that is a toy/project or a girlfriend. The purchase is the cheap part. The accessories and maitenance are what cost you.
  5. I think he is referring to the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad (B&O Railroad) bridge that was on the line that ran through that area but it was torn down in 1889. So, it has been a while since he was on it but we all know ho he often gets confused.
  6. You gotta love the quotes: "If somebody's breaking into your house, you're more than welcome to shoot them in Santa Rosa County. We prefer that you do, actually." "Come see us. We have a gun safety class we put on every other Saturday. And if you take that, you'll shoot a lot better and hopefully you'll save the taxpayers money." You'd think that someone is over all the BS they have to deal with everyday.
  7. I bet the guy driving thought he was tough just before this and probably told his buddy, "hold my beer and watch how I handle this stupid elephant".
  8. I hope everyone who can manage it signs up and attends. Jared Yanis from Guns and Gadgets has said that he is going to be there as well. Good to see that he is supporting his new state. https://tennesseefirearms.com/gun-owners-lobby-day-2024/
  9. It was amazing how fast it collapsed. I probably shouldn't have been so surprised but you think something big will take a while but it's not like there are many support points and they are all crucial.
  10. Just to save some time, here is a link to Google Maps showing its location, if you're interested. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Francis+Scott+Key+Bridge,+Baltimore,+MD/@39.2296089,-76.6271455,10z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x89c80052ddeb3cad:0xf3fb8c8f100a3e9e!8m2!3d39.2144778!4d-76.5316628!16zL20vMDR2Njgw?entry=ttu There is a big ole red exclamation point over it on the map now.
  11. Boom! Sucks when you storm a castle that actually has someone who is prepared to defend it.
  12. A couple other videos of the event. First one on a local channel's site and the second one is posted by a YouTube user and it is a longer video showing the ship approach with the hit at approx. 5:10 in. https://www.wbaltv.com/article/baltimore-bridge-collapse-key-bridge-video/60304085 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDceU9x58vc
  13. I agree but it is not just in D.C and it sure as hell isn't just the Democrats. We all need to keep a closer eye on the a-holes we have sent Nashville to represent us. If you aren't subscribed to the Tennessee Firearms Association (and supporting them with membership, etc...), sign up for the email list and join. Take a look at the video SB2516 and just let it die in committee. This wasn't the Democrats that let it happen, None of the Republicans wouldn't second it. See approx. 02:29:40 in the video linked below. This type of BS is all to common. That R after their name is not an indication of anything you can rely on. There are only two people on the committee that identified as democrats but I don't believe there are only two on it. https://tnga.granicus.com/player/clip/30019?view_id=703&meta_id=814156&redirect=true The video starts with SB This bill would have established, in addition to any claims that could be brought under the Federal Civil Rights Act, a state civil action against person or entity that infringes upon a person's right to bear arms under the Tennessee or United States constitutions.
  14. Very accurate. I think all of us who look at the details for a few minutes can see that the parents in this case displayed a lot of issues beyond just being unaware or unable to control as did the school system. But, it is still very concerning as how this verdict will now be allowed to be used. These are the same people that want to bring charges against the owner of a firearm if it is stolen from their vehicle or home (or probably anywhere/anyhow) and used in a crime. I'm sure they don't want to just stop there.
  15. ... or the name of their daddy.
  16. Jared at Guns and Gadgets did a post on it earlier today. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=08XoKS5bUC4&t=100s
  17. I just saw that SilencerShop posted a video on this. They mention that, "the ATF has confirmed this is the new norm". Well, until there is a new norm... as we all know from experience. Let's hope this is correct but, hope for the best and expect bureaucracy. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BNTnjDL1uXM
  18. Oops. I read "Crumbley" in the title as crumbly like a cake. I haven't followed this case closely but I worry that this will set a bad precedent for future prosecution. I agree that from what I have seen there was at least a decent amount of negligence on the parents' part but I don't have enough info on what they "ignored" to make a call on their actions or lack there of. You make a great point with what about the parents of gang members.
  19. Sorry, what case are you referring to?

    Heart attack

Glad you are home and doing well. I was just talking to someone yesterday about how everyday is a blessing and we shouldn't take them for granted.
  21. I would do a lot of research before I stepped into the world of NFA items. There are a lot of videos out there and FAQs on the legal and dealer's sites. One big decision is if you want to use a trust or not. There is also a bit of fudd lore out you may have heard that your research will dispel.
  22. We haven't even seen the start of the crazy, yet.
  23. ... and Heavy Duty Country posted this video a few hours ago. He asks the real question at 7:50 into it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9vTWfNLT_Zs
