Thank you MemHeli. I tried following the forum using the other link you mentioned on Monday. Still nothing here as far as notifications for the classified forum. I'd say that I'm getting a litle upset but that wouldn't be accurate as I have been extremely upset about this for a while now. This absolutely sucks and there doesn't seem to be anything that is going to be done to rectify it.

Just touching base on this. I am still not receiving email notifications for posts to the Classifieds Forum. I did switch my address to a gmail address a week and a half ago but still no luck. I do receive notifications about content added to threads I am a part of such as this one, at my original email address and now at my gmail address. Has anyone who was not receiving email notification began to receive notifications they were not receiving before?

That is very similar to what I am seeing, as well. Still no notification when something new is posted but I receive email notifications when someone adds to a followed thread. I believe I can eliminate the issue being that my email provider is blocking emails from TGO. I have always been receiving the notifications when something was added to a post I was following, just not the new additions to a forum. I changed my email address to a gmail account I have and am now receiving some notifications on it and some to my prior email address. (This could be due to the change just being made yesterday). I do not believe this is an issue with emails not getting through as I had been receiving TGO email on my original provider, I am now receiving them on gmail, my original provider allows almost everything through ( and leaves it to its clients to filter their own email and I had also white-listed the heck out of TGO in the spam filter they provide (TGO email gets through & is not redirected to the spam folder).

I inquired here as well after seeing that there were posts within this thread regarding email notifications, as well. I will be trying your suggestion posted on the other Thread of trying a different email provider such as gmail to see if this clears up my issue, though I do receive email notifications for other forums such as ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ stated.

Thank you, David. I will try using another email provider to see if this clears it up. Though it interesting that email notifications are getting through for my posts on this Support Forum but not for the Classifieds Forum.

Thank you for the reply, Oh Shoot. I have experienced it in the past, as well and noticed the comments of others when it happens. It usually is rectified, which is why I have waited a couple months before posting. I have not changed email service and have made sure that the TGO's email address is white listed. I'll bang on it some more. As they say, "Push buttons 'til it works".

Does anyone have anything on this? I know I'm not the only one experiencing it.

Was there ever any head way on this????? I am not receiving notifications, either.

I have not been receiving email notifications when a new item is listed or content is posted in forums I am following. I have checked my settings, tried toggling them off and on, logged out and back in and almost every combination of these that I can think of over the past couple of months. I have also checked my Notification Settings and followed the advise that applies in the thread 'Browser Notifications Disabled'. Any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated.

I thought the description said you get two cycles of HIGH.  They must have cut back due to the "economy".   TMF, I have spent well over two days per category on Youtube looking at Builds, Packs, Flashlights, Knives, Cars/Trucks, Tools and Girls.  I will submit a detailed rundown for my certificates.  Is it $5 each or is there a combo pack?  I would prefer premium paper so let me know if there is an up charge.   With my current level of experience and the info I have gathered, I figured I was probably pretty close to competent.  Plus, my daughter's old man has this ultimate set of tools.   I think referring back to TGO as a resource is the way to go, as suggested.  I can buy a lot of steaks and refreshing beverages for $450+ and get to meet a few new faces.   Everyone have a great week,

I am not sure about the/any certification.  The description page states, "Armorers will be certified in the proper maintenance, care, and repair of these weapons systems, including semi-auto and select-fire trigger systems." but I would have to inquire on specifics of that statement.   $450 for two days of training does not seem like an excessive amount for a course depending on its content and the quality of the instruction, even factoring in food and boarding but you are correct that I would probably be better served by taking advantage of the resources available to me being a member of this group.  Heck, I'm betting that a nice meal will probably gain me some quality help and a fun afternoon.  Part of my wanting to take this class is that it would be a bit of a "hangout with the guys" type get away.   Maybe we will be able to hear from someone who had first had knowledge of this offering to see what their thoughts are as well.   Thanks for all of the feedback.

  Thanks for the feedback. I am strongly leaning towards getting both a White Oak and a Black Hole Weaponry barrel.  It has been a good year and who knows what/when the next thing will happen that will make them in short supply.

Sorry Dying Breed.   I didn't meant to steal your quote.  I hadn't refreshed before posting.

It comes back to the saying, "Just because you can, doesn't mean you should".  That being said, just because you don't doesn't mean it should be illegal or you shouldn't support it for the greater reason.   I very, very, very rarely open carry and probably for all the reasons everyone else here would mention but worrying about making the uneducated uncomfortable is not very high on the list for my not doing it.   Open Carry does allow me to move about and to transfer my handgun between locations without the fear of being legally penalized, though.  It keeps me from legal repercussions when someone's panties get wadded up because my handgun was "printing", my jacket flaps open or my shirt rides up.   Far from feeling that Open Carry was the worst mistake Tennessee ever made, I am grateful that I live in a State that still has more value than most for personal freedoms and had people in office at the time that possessed the foresight to opt for Open Carry instead of Concealed Carry so that I would not have to deal with the above mentioned issues.   As with all the rights we are granted in this country and the rights that are recognized by our Constitution, with gun ownership and especially the right to carry, comes great responsibility.  It is my belief, one of those responsibilities is taking a very deep look at all issues and being able to understand that there is often a "bigger picture" implication to issues than our own personal initial reaction.

Thanks on the White Oak Armament recommendation.  I was looking at their offering.  Price is good.   I believe they are using a 1-7 twist.  Most of the other barrels I was looking at are utilizing a 1-8 twist.  Do you feel the 1-7 twist will be an issue when just plinking away now and again with everyday off the shelf 55gr ammo, especially when I won't be shooting at any great distance?

I am starting to acquire the parts to build a new AR.  May use one of the nice new TGO Uppers and Lower Receivers.   It will utilize an 18" barrel with a rifle length gas system.  I am thinking of going with a .223 Wylde chamber.  I have been looking at a few options that are currently appear to be available.   The primary purpose will be to function as a 3Gun type rifle.   Does anyone have any advise/experience on barrels that might fit this purpose and what is currently available?   Thanks in advance.

I recently purchased a Burris MTAC 1x4 and a LaRue SPR-E LT139 mount for it.  Nice combination.  Take a little time and check it out.  I put it on a 3 Gun type rifle whose purpose is fast acquisition and shooting out to only a few hundred yards.

I absolutely Support it.   We should all support this if for no other reasons than supporting our 2nd amendment rights and to help keep from being busted on some technicality while handling a long gun.  It would probably also make the transportation in a vehicle less likely to become an issue.   I think the arguments Against that are stating that people will be walking around with rifles in public and that makes them feel “uncomfortable” are just silly but they have already been countered here.   I also very much disagree that the rifle is an Offensive weapon and the Hand gun is a Defensive weapon.  Per Jeff Cooper:  The handgun is a convenient-to-carry stopgap weapon, allowing someone the opportunity to get to a rifle. I will defend myself with a rifle, a shotgun and in many cases a machete before choosing a handgun.  But it is sure nice to have one on you while utilizing the others or to help you get to them.

Thanks for the links Hammer Swinger.  I did a search before posting and it returned nothing.   I agree that this app is easy to thwart but the bigger issue is if providers such as Google, AT&T and Verizon allow apps that can be used to target an individual or business because someone "feels" a certain way to exist on their networks.
