  1. Well you might want to go check....but I'm about 5 in line.
  2. Was in Avery outdoors this morning. The powder wall is full with extra in the back. Primers were a plenty. Projectiles and brass of all favors. They even had roughly 8,000 LR 22 on the shelf with another 8K in the back. I would think with what 2 Bass Pros have plus Avery one could find enough to get by on.
  3. I haven't see reload items at a gun show since David was in Memphis last year. Other than a few old timers with some brass. Bass pro (sycamore view) has had pretty good selection of powder lately. I'd bet downtown is loaded as they've been getting the good stuff.
  4. My vote is the http://harveydeprimer.com. Works like a champ

  6. I thought the .357 sig was to equal the .357 mag for use in automatics. Stand corrected but the .40 cal is spin off of the 10mm?. The .357 sig case is a necked down .40 with a 9 mm projectile. Interesting that engineering and testing can design a better mouse trap but the general public usually dives the "we like this one the best".
  7. Sig S2022, 226, 229 and yes a high point. Do like the round and Enjoy shooting, have defensive ammo but typically carry in .357 config. Except for the high point. It stays in the truck stuffed with Golden Sabers.
  8. I have a nightmare Also. As Hipower said shoots very well and is very accurate. This came as .45 and I Looked for .357 but could not find one, so stopped. But will start again as I think there available again. Just for the record. I've got several sig 380, 9, 40, 357 and 45. I've never on any config have feeding problems. Very rare feed failure, never two in a row. Maybe I'm just fortunate.
  9. If you can find one of these they carry very, very well. http://www.armslist.com/posts/1242936/oklahoma-city-oklahoma-handguns-for-sale--sig-sauer--45acp-1911-ultracompact---limited-edition You should be able to see specs on this prior listing. As you see they were limited edition. Luap
  10. And it only gets better when it's a High Point.
  11. Well I guess I got a safe full trash. Right Along with the trash I carry around everyday.
  12. Before I started reloading .270 I shoot a boat load of hornady light mag 130 now superformance thru my Winchester Ranger. I know a cheap 30 year old replica of the model 70. Damn sweet tho. I also bought my grand son a savage that loves the superformance 130 gr SST. Each of the above will hold a pattern regardless of number fired. My brother has a 30 yr old ruger model 77 that Is dead on for the first shot with any .270 ammo as long as it's 130 grain. It cannot shoot two rounds together for for the love of money. For some reason the barrel flexes. You have to let the barrel cool for 10 mins or so. Then it's dead on again. Two back to back and it 5-6 inches off the second shot. Not sure it's to fast, it just may be to hot. I'd let it cool 10 or 15 min and see if that makes a difference.
  13. Got mine today. Didn't realize it was gonna be in its own pouch. Cool beans.
  14. I haven't read the complete thread but Anybody got a bottle of Buffalo Trace?
  15. Stopped by Academy Wolfchase for a Mag and Damn there heavy in 22 lr.  2 to 10 boxes depending on  what you want. I'm pretty sure there's 30+ thousand rounds on the little table behind the counter. One could get 10-50 round  boxes of CCI Velociter if they wanted. I counted 18 of those boxes.  Dude behind the counter said there thick in the back as truck last night was stacked deep.
  16. Thank ya very much
  17. I'm paid up, for two.  Willis just hasn't posted it due to his Work location.

    357 SIG

I posted this on another thread here on TGO so I copied it over rather than make you go look.  I did make a couple of changes and additions.   I am a big .357 Sig fan and have several Sigs ranging from SP2022 up to 229 Elite. When purchased they were born as a .40 cal. 4 of them I purchased a .357 sig barrel.  So far all 4 dropped in without a hitch. Now I have 8 weapons instead of 4. As most of you know Sig .40 and .357 magazines will except both of  these two calibers.  Usually they can be found online at reasonable prices.  Always heard the .357 sig cartridge called a necked down .40.  Never had and Issue with recoil or muzzle flash on the .357 Sig.   Most of the time if I’m not carrying a Sig compact 1911 in .45 I have one of the Sigs in the .357 Sig configurations tucked neatly in my knickers.   A word of caution if you have both barrels:  It is very possible to put both cartridges in the same Magazine.  We humans do stupid stuff at times. Something tells me .40 cal doesn't seat very well in a .357 sig barrel.    As far as reloading, I reload .40 cal but have not started the .357 sig process.  I plan on it, have the proper tools for it, just slowly building up the brass and projectiles.  I'm not in a big hurry as explained below.  Ammo prices: Well known .357 sig is more expensive as there are fewer brands manufactured for target and plinking. .40 Cal on the other hand has many more options therefore lower price. So with that, I will mostly practice with the .40 cal barrel and carry with .357 Sig. Nothing against the .40, nothing at all, I just like the .357 sig. I don’t find a great deal of difference in trajectory between the two as have sent considerable amount of .357 sig down the tube and have no concerns should I be required to un holster the rascal.    I suppose its easy to see, I am not a Glock fan.  I know they are reliable, simple to service and a good weapon.  I simply don't like the feel in my hand or the way they shoot.  My Daughter in Law and Brother both have .40 cal Glocks.  No Idea what the number is but I've given the old College try multiple time to like them, but in my old age I just can't get there.    So that my nickels worth of .357 Sig love.  And its worth exactly what you paid for it, nothing.  Good Luck with your purchase or Trade as I'm sure you will enjoy it.
  19. Welcome
  20.   He doesn't.  His comment leads one to believe they do this via a phone call, "Hey this is Pete, I'm on my way so go ahead run my stuff on the sweet whatever".  I actually think that would be against the law, but I am not a lawyer.  OTOH, Why do they have my info on file?  Even if I've bought several guns from them, why would they keep my info in a computer program?   I've bought several weapons from three local shops in town and about the same number from one shop 80 miles east of Memphis in the last few years and not one of them have me or my info in a computer program.  Each purchase is like they have never seen me before.
  21.     I have a hard time believing they or anyone will run a background check on ones word that they'll be there shortly. Transfer or Purchase. That makes no sense. Every crook in the county or state could get a firearm under that umbrella. Somewhere along the way one has to fill out the paper work, answer the questions, sign the application and show a a piece of Valid Identification.
  22. Wouldn't say it was growing on trees in West Tennessee but Academy Wolf chase has had Multiple numbers of Aquilla Match and Subsonic along with Winchester, Blazer and CCI Velocitor 50 round boxes for 2 weeks straight with 2 box limit. Dicks had 50 boxes of 550 in Thunderduds and 25 or more boxes of 100 round golden boy. You could get 1, 550 or three 100 rounders. Hell Bass Pro Bartlett has had 4 different kinds for a week now. And since we got 3 or 4, Academys, Dicks, Bass Pros and LGS there is quite a bit to be had. So as Runco said, its out there and not to hard to find. Just have to make several stops.
  23. Bartlett Wolfchase Walmart had 30-40 Blazer 50 round boxes, Academys got different brands of 22 LR, Winchester 2 kinds, Aquilla 3 versions, Blazer all in 50 round boxes. Dicks has 525 Thunderduds, 100 round Golden Boys round nose, several boxes of each. Classic Arms has a shelf full of CCI quite, Winchester 100 round red box, Auto match 325 and a few single boxes of oddball brands. Couldn't scratch up a box of 22 Magnums or CCI mini-mags anywhere today....
  24. And Target had .22 in a preformed plastic card looking thingy.
