Is a drivers license not needed for the "proof of residence"? Isn't that how they sort it out when you fill out a 4473 at the gun shop? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I'm looking at trading an ak47 rifle, not pistol to a tn resident. However he does not have a tn drivers license. He's trading me a pistol which we are going through shooters depot in chattanooga for the transfer it with it being a long gun does it require an FFL as well? In his home state? You'll get what you have in either rifle -10% usually. Even in today's, buyers' market. Plus the name is synonymous with quality in the firearms industry and that says alot to me not only as a gun owner but a gun owner with a limited amount of funds. I want the best I can get for the money. You can customize 1 just as well as the other. Go with what your wallet (in my case, my wife) allows you to.

So, My wife and I have been pondering this and hopefully someone can answer this before we go to buy the vehicle on Monday.    The wife and I are buying a 4Runner in Fort Oglthorpe, GA for cash FROM A DEALER. The question is: Where Do we pay tax? Both states? I was under the assumption that we paid taxes in our beautiful home state of TN but won't that dealer need to pay his tax on the sale? Please don't tell me we will have to pay two state's tax. If so that might be a deal breaker.

I frequent prentice cooper but only early Thursday or Friday mornings. If you get there after 11 it usually can be quite crowded. I went one Friday morning and it was just myself and another guy shooting on the 100 yrds range. Nice and quiet and laid back. On another note, I went one Saturday about 1 in the afternoon and everybody and their mother who owned a gun in Marion and Hamilton co. were there. Some clean cut, most not. I think that's the appeal for me. I've tried deer hunting, I just can't get into it. There's just something about coyote hunting that draws me to it. It sounds like a ton of fun and I've got a 24'' varmint AR that's just screaming for me to take it somewhere other than the range.

Hey guys, been a lurker for quite awhile. Electrician by trade, gun lover by nature. Hope to make a stay here and get to know everyone. LOTS of great information here!

So I'm looking to get into some coyote hunting this late winter/early spring. Does anyone have any information on some public land in east TN that you've had some success? Maybe some deer leases that someone doesn't have time to eradicate them from? I'm certainly not trying to pry any spots from anyones hands, just looking to get out and cut my teeth a little bit. Anyone have any advice on finding some huntable land? Interested really in any type of varmint hunting, but mainly Coyote.   Thanks!
