  1. My guess is that it's too short to use as a functional stock. Much like the mares leg guns look like stocks but if you've ever tried to shoulder it you'll put your eye out.
  2. Outpost armory had gen3's for 19.99 no limit as far as I know.
  3. I'd argue that most kydex is easier on a finish than leather. Leather tends to hold dirt grit and crud that can damage a finish more than regular kydex. Also if it's an IWB it doesn't get funky after you sweated in it.
  4. A larger objective doesn't allow more light. Just a larger field of view. Glass Quality and tube size factor in more than objective size.
  5. I might be interested depending on what it looks like and if it's actually made in TN. I'm a sucker for things made here but it seems kinda dumb to me to have a TGO lower that's make in NY or something like that.
  6. I wish a had enough extra coin to build a car based off of wood gasification.
  7. Actually magpuls stance is now that the dust covers are not necessary except to keep dust out.
  8. What about those homeless people that were eating people last year? Close enough?
  9. I just watched the final episode again. That sound where Andrea shoots herself does not sound like a shell casing to me. Maybe not a gun the sound dept probably just didn't have the right sound.
  10. They're tacticool so for those of you having issues with leather holsters you're holster isn't tacticool enough. You need a drop leg thigh rig with a level III retention.
  11. Is 12ga that hard to find? I understand 9mm, .380, .223 etc. but where I work we have more shotgun ammo than we know what to do with. I had a customer tell me he watched some people at Walmart wait 3 hours bc the truck was late to buy some 12ga field loads and he couldn't understand why since we have an abundance of it. I guess I'm confused.
  12. Doing some further research the on the rim fires that the receiver alone is made of 3 different types of metals. Steel, zamac (which is what I think hi points are made of, and brasslite if you have a golden boy model to "cut production costs". Compare that to a marlin receiver it's all steel.
  13. Yeah I was speaking specifically of the rimfires. I should have made that clear.
  14. He's a well know gun smith in the area. Also I don't want to offend anyone that has one. While I can't speak to metal actually used but the rimfires exceptthe brass receivers appear to be made of the same material hi points are made of, some kind of pot metal. Also if you look closely the finish is some kind of paint. I'm not saying they don't shoot or arent accurate but there's a reason they're <$300
  15. I've got a 5" model. It's pretty good for bang for your buck. My biggest complaint is the MIM parts. You can see if you look closely where they broke them from the mold. I rarely shoot it so I'm not in a huge rush, but one day I'm going to swap them out.
  16. I middle tn gunsmith I know, who I will remain nameless, claims that they are made very cheaply based on having to work with them. I'm sure they work fine based on what other have said.
  17. The fragible ammo I've seen in person explodes into a cloud of dust at very close ranges. It definitely won't penetrate steel and hardly penetrates plywood. That being said I'd never use it for home defense as its marketed as "training ammo" and wasn't very reliable.
  18. Hmm they were selling 1000 cci srp for $38 today.
  19. How many did you walk away with? And did you pay $8+/100?
  20. Yeah but you're not crying about it.
  21. If youre exploring lever gun options. You might want to consider scope mounting options. Marlins are slightly easier since they are side eject vs Winchester and most Rossi.
  22. I don't know why but it strikes me as comical the way people whine about limits and prices etc. you guys are the same guys that buy the 22lr during the shortage even though you have 10,000 rounds at home. I listened to a guy crying the other day saying he was down to 10,000 SRP. Give me a break.
