  1. No i didn't have to get anything corrected. The only thing I can think is maybe because it was done under a trust. Also it was actually in the mail today.
  2. I submitted paperwork the last week of November 2012. I called them yesterday and the woman I spoke to told me it was approved the September 13th and it would be mailed out within 30 days. So if I get it here by the end of the month it'll be about 10 months.
  3. Didn't Walmart pull ARs for a short period of time as well?
  4. When dicks had them I think I paid $2.16 for 5. I bought 20+ at the time and I wish I had bought more of them.
  5. I bought some from Dicks sporting goods a long time ago and I think outpost has some.
  6. This. Where I work we have gotten in upwards of 50 guns at one time. Every single one of them the serial has to be verified and has to be put in the books. A transfer may be first or it maybe 50th. While I agree that 3 days may be a little excessive.
  7. you can go to the hardware store and buy a $1 clevis pin that works just as well similar to one in the link . http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/Clevis-Pin-2MVF2?Pid=search
  8. I work for a gun store and some of the .22 we've been able to get is more than $30 a brick at cost. It's not your everyday cci, win, fed etc. In fact our COST is around $43 per 500. So just because you've never paid over $30 a brick doesn't mean that people that are selling at that price are scalping or trying to rip you off.
  9. I have a set of double doors that open up to my washer and dryer in my apartment. I bought some rubber coated screw in hooks from the hardware store and screwed them in above the door from the inside. That way it's out of plain sight. It's out of reach from small children(not that I have any), and should anyone break in there's a chance it could be missed if my laundry area is glances over.
  10. My guess is that they're using the raw materials to make something that's in greater demand or fill orders that were placed during the panic. As far as loaded ammo goes it doesn't seem to be that difficult to get. My work has several different varieties.
  11. I think Outpost has them for $349 as well.
  12. I've seen a gunsmith I know use aluminum punches. Softer than steel and easier clean up. Alumiblack to touch up any marks left behind.
  13. The same reason why factory m1a mags are $50 and mr762 mags are $100
  14. I had a friend who bought an 18" SS rainier match 5.56 barrel for his AR. It shot 1/2 moa with black hills 77gr otm. If that's any indication I what the .308 barrels are like, I'd say they're good to go.
  15. I'm thinking about buying one of the new noveske backpacks as i sometimes carry my sbr to work.
  16. I have a Blackhawk laptop bag that looks less tactical than a maxpedition. It of course has a slot for a laptop which I keep my iPad in. When slung over your shoulder it has an easily accessible pistol pocket. On each side of the pistol pocket there are pockets for extra pistol mags. My biggest complaint is that the mag pockets can be difficult to remove the mags. Sometimes I stick a 33rd Glock mag in and it doesn't go all the way in making it easy to grab.
  17. Magpul makes the K grip which is small. And they have something called a K+ or K2 which is the same length as a standard moe but is more vertical. I can't remember the name exactly.
  18. Seriously? I know magpuls are hard to get right now but we (at my job) have more lancer, Troy, and c-product mags than we know what to do with. I would have never imagined promags would be in demand especially since gun legislation has failed thus far.
  19. I spent 20mins putting a customers back together because I forgot the new mkiii have mag disconnects. I ripped mine out the first day I had it so I forgot it even had one. The second I inserted the mag it dropped right in. I highly recommending putting a mkii bushing in the mkiiis
  20. I'd buy an atlas for a heavy caliber or a Harris for medium to mild calibers. I've seen several utg, Caldwell, etc break from "loading" the bipod.
  21. I've got an 8.2" noveske. If you're using AACs info as a point of reference I believe their info is based on 9" barrel. They seem to think its the sweet spot.
  22. If you've ever looked at the older models the shroud had nothing separating the inside of the shroud and the barrel. If one were inclined to "port the barrel" it would make it a Functioning suppressor. The later models are designed differently so that one couldn't just drill holes in the barrel and make a suppressor. The ruling Sounds dumb and actually doesn't even makes sense. It's a suppressor even though it doesn't work as one?
  23. I second that. I've never owned a nighthawk Wilson Ed or Les but I can tell you they shoot much better than the ruger sr1911 or the 3 glocks I have or the kimbers, sigs or spring fields I've shot. All the guys I work with carry these high end 1911's so I've gotten to shoot them over the years and shoot as good or better than advertised.
