  1. Happens every years at Christmas. Toys, last year it was Yeti cups.
  2. Right, I'll do that right when I don't have to pay taxes for someone's else's kids to go to public school since I don't have any.
  3. Yeah, because you're not using the services that the state taxes provide. I'm not about taxing people to death but you should be paying a "fair" amount for the legitimate services the government provides. They should actually revisit the gas tax because if you drive a hybrid or an electric, you're using the road just as much as the guy that drives a truck yet you're not contributing to the upkeep of the roads.
  4. If it were mandatory to pay sales tax on Internet purchases I'm sure it would level the playing field for the LGS. The LGS is already at an almost 10% disadvantage. I doubt you guys are paying your sales tax on your internet purchases.
  5. http://www.americanrifleman.org/articles/2015/8/18/colt-s-snake-guns/ It's about why the value of Colt's is high right now. (Someone got pissy before when I posted a link and didn't explain what it was about because they didn't want to click on it).
  6.   I have a Ruger American Predator in 260rem.  I'm currently working on loads for it with the .264 143gr Hornady ELDX bullets.  So far with factory ammo is about a 1 MOA gun.  I'm anticipating after some tweaking it will easily be a sub moa.
  7. I guess there's nothing to see here. Carry on with your Savages and Remington 700s.
  8. http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/10902284/Forbes/Barrett#Post10902284
  9. I would tend agree but at least they did away with the thumb safety, magazine disconnect, and the crappy shark fin loaded chamber indicator.
  10. Cheap cheap cheap. How many of you guys have handled one? I have and the trigger is considerably better than the SW 640 Pro series that MSRPs for $839. The cylinder is almost the same size as a your average 5 shot snub nose. While not exactly a game changer it's actually a slick revolver and I'm not even a Kimber fan at all.
  11. Maybe you're right Dave but my interest in firearms and actual enjoyment for my job outweighs the dislike for the 1% of you jack wagons out there.
  12. Just to be clear I wasn't speaking directly at your post in regards to returning, repairing, etc. I stand by my comment that I think it's foolish to not at least test fire a firearm. As well as the subsequent comment(s) that for some reason gun owners have some kind of sense of entitlement. I've worked retail for 15 years from shoe stores, cell phones, to general merchandise, to firearms. Firearms customers are some of the worst in regards to a sense of entitlement. Especially in the internet age where people can shop amazon, budsgunshop, eBay, and people expect you to bend over backwards to try to accommodate them.
  13. No I'm not married but I think it's ridiculous to be pissed off about something 8+ months after the fact. Where's the personal responsibility? That's what's wrong with this country today. Ok so you had a bad experience with Outpost and then you had a bad experience with CMMG. Apparently they both offered you something that made you come back. Get whatever it is fixed and move on. It's neither one of their faults you waited so long to find out it was defective. It's been 8+ months what's another month. Also I'm going to speak from the other side of the counter. You wouldn't believe how many people that either trade in guns that are broken that get over in gun shops. Or that try to return them because their wife found out, or it wasn't what they wanted and then blame it on a "defect". So forgive me for being slightly jaded to the situation. By the way did the OP make the person aware that the cmmg had an issue when he traded it? Because if he didn't that's a douche move as well as hypocritical.
  14. That's your prerogative but I think it's stupid for you to wait 8+ months to shoot something and expect the store to take of something that far down the road. Maybe I'm in the minority but despite what we're all taught to think the customer is not always right.
  15. So you waited 8 months to notify someone with a problem?
  16. From what I was told by a sig rep that ATF reversed their second ruling so the 16" baffle/muzzle brake will be legal.
  17. The M&P armorers class had us removing rear sights with PLASTIC hammers. I'm sure you can imagine the amount of times you had to bang on that thing with a 5oz plastic hammer.
  18. How many are you wanting to buy? I have a source for new ones.
  19. That looks like an excellent candidate for me to hack off at about the 6.5" mark.
  20. It sucks you have to pin them but I have a friend that can do it. Besides I have an aac can so I need a 51T flash hider anyways.
  21. I don't have everything yet. So I can't really say however I can tell you that my build is inspired by the mag tactical air rifle. It weighs 4.7lbs. However the bcm kmr weighs quite a bit less than the fortis and I'm using a 14.5" barrel vs a 16" on the air rifle. I don't think I'm going to use a low mass carrier but I hope that adds up to <4.7lbs total.
  22. Was it an adjustable gas block? Because thats what I was referring to, specifically an SLR rifleworks. Thanks for the offer but I think we might be talking about something slightly different.
