  1. I picked up a used G19 from a guy just over a month ago for $450 with an M3 tactical light and night sights(even though there starting to dim slightly). Anyways he said it had about 200 rounds through it. I checked it out, locked the slide back, and inspected everything. When I got it home and played around with it a little more and I waited about a week before I shot it. So before I took it out i wanted to clean it. It looked like it had never been cleaned. Once I cleaned and lubed it, it started making a slight anooying squeak when you rack the slide. It never did this before so is there something Im not oiling?
  2. Where is Hero Gear at? Im in Smyrna. It looks like the hole the sight is crooked causing the sight to be crooked.
  3. I've got a maadi AK that I bought a little bit ago and the sight post is bent. Not to be confused with canted. I was wondering if you can replace jsut the post without replacing the FSB. It looks as though you could screw the post all the way out and press the piece (not sure what it's called) out.
  4. I have one nearly identical to that, hers might be in a slightly better condition, as far as finish (mine has a few scratches here and there). That being said I picked it up at guns and leather for $300

    Keltec P-11

limpwristing is a common problem. also check the top of the mag spring. sometimes its not angled up high enough and you might need to bend it slightly up to angle the top round at the proper angle in order for it to feed properly.
  6. What I find interesting is that I've seen a few people in this thread said they've called and gotten the response that it was being issued that day. Like what happened to me and my friend. I'm wondering if there's a correlation or a coincidence.
  7. Could his family "buy" it for him, then give it as a "gift"? I don't know AL law but could potentially do that here if the situation was reversed?
  8. Forgot to mention that a lady I used to work with took the class a week or 2 before I did and called the same day and got the same answer. I'm guessing they issue in batches?
  9. I took the class on April 12th and submitted info/etc that monday and I called monday. So i called monday may 19th they said it was being issued that day and should be here in 7-10 days. So I'm guessing sometime next week.
  10. With the current hike in gas prices and warmer weather I've been inclined to ride my motorcycle more often. I'm at the 2 week mark awaiting my carry permit. My question is for those of you that do ride when you stop at some place like O'Charleys to eat what do you do? I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving it out in my bike for fear of someone seeing me put it up (not to mention my CBR has a very small compartment). If I know I'm going to be out for a while I'll probably going to have my riding jacket on with a shoulder holster for safety purposes. Therefore I'm probably not going to "get by" at the restaraunt. Or does this sound like a job for my KT 3AT? This idea is a little out there but if I had say a g19 and removed the mag and slide and carried the grip with me would that constitute as a firearm? Thanks.
  11. Whatever the case is I'm sure sig might make it slightly better.
  12. From the pics on sigs website it works ALOT like the P-11/40/.357 only they offer more grip and caliber options.
  13. So im guessing you'll need shorter/longer mags for the the different grip lengths.
  14. I had read that in an article and understand that concept (which neglected to mention the cost). I was just wondering about the mags. Is it alot like the Kel Tec P-11/40/.357? Where the slides are interchangable and the receiver drops into the grip and the slides/barrels all fit the dame receiver?
  15. Does anyone know when the conversions and grips become availible. if they'll come with different mags, being in length for the grips and size for the caliber. I had heard the conversions will be around $300 and the grips $75 thats almost enough to buy a new pistol. Thanks.
