  1. I would be interested in your results. I've never tried #7 but have used #9 in 454 Casull at around 1550 fps and a 300g xtp bullet.
  2. I too am shooting out of Glock 33, recoil with Accurate #5 is not bad.Does Universal Clays burn clean, what velocity?
  3. I setup my Dillon 550 to reload 357 Sig today. I used 8.3 g of Accurate #5 with 124 g bullet, approximately 1100fps. #9 data said compressed load. I tried using Berry's 124 g round nose but could not get 1.14" OAL(per Accurate website) due to taper on bullet. I had some Hornady 124 xtp that I was able to set OAL at 1.152, just where bullet started tapering. Grouping was decent, but Accurate #5 burns dirty, not clean. Does the Accurate #9, which I have several pounds, burn any cleaner. Do you get compressed loads with bullets seated correctly? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  4. I have been convinced, for I ordered a Crossbreed Super Tuck for by Glock 33 and/or Glock 26. Now a wait of 4-6 weeks for delivery. thanks TGO
  5. I added a SS guiderod and pearce grips to mags on my G33, seems to have helped some. Guess I'll just have to shoot more and adjust. I sure do like the 357 Sig ballastics. Now to find a good holster for daily carry.
  6. My DeSantis IWB summer special (leather) does good while in standing position. Uncomfortable in sitting position especially in car. Carry is about 4:00. Will the Galco Kingtuck or Crossbreed Super Tuck eliminate the pressure of gun inprinted on lower back/kidney area?
  7. I'm thinking about ordering one for my Glock 33/26. I have a DeSantis IWB that I use now. It carries the Glocks good and somewhat comfortable. What does the Super tuck give you different from a good IWB?
  8. I have a Glock 33 Gen3 that I would like to have the ability to shoot 9mm rounds, cheaper. I know I'll need a 9mm conversion barrel, will I need a 9mm magazine also or will the 357 Sig work? I know Lone Wolf makes 9mm conversion barrels, who else does and which is better? If I do this conversion, should I keep my Gen3 Glock26? comments/help. thanks
  9. I am only aware of two gunstores in this area - Toliver's in Manchester and Outpost Armory near Murfreesboro. Are there others in middle to SE Tn? Looking for one with assortment of hand and long guns, ammo, reloading supplies.
  10. I have both the Glock 26 and the PM9. I like them both but the PM9 is my pocket carry, sweet trigger, accurate and reliable.
  11. I finally found a used G33 on Gun Broker at a some-what reasonal price, if it weren't for shipping. My FFl should receive next week. The G33 has dual springs, how do you replace springs on recoil rod? The rod does not appear to come apart on my G26. On by G36, I order dual springs contained on ss guide rod at 19#, 2# heavier than standard. This helped recoil on the G36.
  12. I will have to try one of the Knoxville Expo shows but a 2.5 hr drive one way. I have been to many Birmingham shows when I lived in Alabama, great shows. I will stick to TN shows, just incase I find a handgun I cann't live without.
  13. Enjoy your new Gen4 G19. You picked one of the best Glocks on the market. I have a G21 in Gen 4 and my G36 and G26 are Gen3. They are like potato chips, can't just have one. I have a G33 Gen3 on the way.
  14. Group size was much better after VQ trigger and Mark II hammer bushing. I shot three different brands of ammo: CCI Mini-Mag average score 92.5, PMC Scoremaster average score 91.5, and Remington Thunderbolt average score 89.0. On standard 25 yd target at 12 yards, all 40 grain bullets. Might install my red-dot optics to see if I can get more 10's, but I hate to add more weight.
  15. I found Viola range but never shot there. I have a 25 yd and 100 yd range cleared on my back 5 acres. So I can shoot so long as weather is good. Thanks for the trigger advice.
  16. I installed VQ trigger, removed magazine disconnector, spring and Mark III hammer bushing and installed Mark II hammer bushing.I lost safety detent for a while. I crawed around on floor and finally found it. Put gun back together and adjusted overtravel screw and trigger screw, then used blue loctite on threads. Trigger feels alot better. I will put some ammo thru it tomorrow and see if bullet impact group tightens up. thanks TGO for help
  17. New VQ trigger and Mark II hammer bushing to be delivered 3/5. Do I have to disassemble Hammer, sear and trigger groups to install, or can I just remove hammer pin part way, remove Magazine disconnector and spring, raise disconnector, then remove trigger group, install new trigger, lower disconnector, install Mark II hammer bushing, then install trigger pin and hammer pin? It looks like just pulling hammer pivot pin and trigger pivot pins part way out that this can be done. comments
  18. I have had both PM9's and a PM40 and all were flawless, no malfunctions. Accuracy, trigger pull, and weight/slimness are better than a Glock. I own three Glocks and like them too. My experience with Kahrs has been excellant.
  19. I have ordered the Volquartsen trigger from Brownell's and have their tech disassembly and assembly instructions. I will leave in magazine disconnect and try new trigger. thanks TGO
  20. If you remove magazine disconnector parts(3) , I assume you will need a metal sleeve spacer to fill the space for hammer bushing? I might look into Volquartsen trigger and return spring with holes predrilled, are the set screws included?
  21. The first shot from a fresh magazine, the trigger has alot of slack to take up. After the first shot the slack is gone. Does this have anything to do with magazine disconnect in the Mark III? I don't remember this occurring in previous Mark II's. How can magazine disconnect be removed? thanks
  22. All my glocks have the 3.5# connector and a NY+1 spring. Gives it a better trigger feel. I have not tried the fulcrum trigger, for I don't know what advantage it has. On by carry subcompacts I have added night sights and ss dual guide rod with heavier springs. I leave the rest as stocked.
  23. The Kahr CW40 or PM40 would be the smallest light-weight in a reliable handgun. I carried the PM40 but changed to PM9 due to recoil in extented shooting.
  24. I shot 150 rounds, no mis-feeds, etc. Grouped very good with three different brands of ammo: Winchester standard, Remington cheap , & CCI Mini-mag. CCI grouped the tightest. I then tool it apart to clean. I thought the Mark II was bad, the Mark III is a pain. I finally reread instructions for the forth time and inserted the magazine so the hammer would move full vertical, then it went back together. I hope it is easier the next disassembly and assembly. I assume the magazine disconnect feacture was the problem. How often do you clean you clean after shooting? I am ex-military and I clean each time. I heard that it was not good for the 22 bore, is that true?
