  1. I checked the Apex Tactical website. Their DCAEK kit is $89.95 + $7.50 shipping, $97.45 total. Is the complete kit needed? Apex harden sear is $39.95 and US Block is $34.95, $74.90 + $7.50 shipping, $82.40 total. Do you really need the spring kit? Does anyone else supply these parts more economically?
  2. I just acquired a S&W M&P, my first. What type of drop-ins are available for 45compact to improve the trigger which is not smooth and about 8 lbs? In my glocks I install a 3.5 lb disconnector and a New York spring which gives be 6 lb smoother trigger pull. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  3. Yes shooting reloads 185g bullet at 940 fps and occasionally round hangs at angle with bullet tip tip top of barrel opening. 230g hard ball Blazers does not do this. My glocks will feed this round. I'm going to try 185g Reminington Golden Saber to see if their bullet shape works. This is my SD round in my Glocks 21 and 36.
  4. PM9 in a UBG IWB holster at 4:00 or in a pocket holster or LCR 357 in pocket holster or car door.
  5. I just traded for my first M&P 45c. Very accurate with both 185/ 230 grain bullets. Some feeding problems with 185g. Bullet would hang toward top of barrel. This is a Berry plated truncated bullet. I have owned mostly subcompact glocks in this caliber and they feed this 185g okay. I like trigger pull and small grip fits my hand, feels better than G36 and G30. I am a little concerned with length of 4" barrel in concealled carry. What have been your shooting and carry experiences with the M&P 45c?
  6. That is a good looking holster, is it comfortable? I prefer IWB at around 4:00.
  7. I've heard they have a good gunshow. I've never been there, but thinking about going on Saturday morning. Others say alot of individuals/soliders are trading/selling guns. I'm always looking for a good deal! I do need some reloading supplies too.

    New Gen4 G21

I have the Gen4 Glock 21sf and without the backstrap fits my hand for the first time. All previous 21's had to big of a circumference for my shorter fingers. Gun shoots great and I lean toward the 185g bullet at about 1000fps. I also like higher magazine capacity with the addition of a rail light. Good house/farm gun to accompany my Rem. 870.
  9. I 2nd for ChiRho. I have bought ammo there and one Ruger Mark III. Owner is x-military and a nice guy. They will discount prices on handguns.
  10. It was busy Saturday morning. I sold a Kahr CM9 and then bought a LNIB Glock 30SF. I usually do not go on Sunday's.
  11. There is a small gunshow at 565 Hale St. this weekend. Usually alot of individuals selling/trading guns. I'll be there with my CM9. Trying to sale/trade for G19 or M&P 45c.
  12. I have a super tuck for my Glock subcompacts. The most comfortable holster I've every worn. I plan on ordering the mini-tuck for my Kahr PM9.
  13. I am looking for a comfortable holster for PM9. I currently have a right hand inside waist band UBG which will take the laser guard, I have a Crossbreed Super Tuck for by sub-compact Gocks. Should I go to a Crossbreed mini-tuck or what? My last order to Crossbreed took 3 1/2 weeks.
  14. Show was not bad. Had a pretty good crowd. I sold one of two handguns and several other individuals sold and traded guns. Good assortment of FFL dealers and ammunition for a small show.
  15. A model 66 is more desirable with adjustable sights. Model 65 had fixed sights, a v-notch and raised front sight. Check cylinder lock-up. Does cylinder have alot of play. Check inplay of cylinder, move alot fore and aft. Check bore for good rifling and no rust. Cock hammer and psh forward toward cylinder, if it drops no good. Check for any gaps between cylinder crane and receiver, is it sprung. Cock hammer back and see if cylinder locks-up each time, do it six times. Try pulling trigger to check double action pull. It should be smooth and fall with enough force to ignite primer. If it passes above, should be okay/safe. Good luck!!
  16. I'll be there, something to do Saturday morning. I will have a couple of handguns to trade/sale.
  17. I have used 3 different powders with 45 ACP in a Berry's plated 185g bullet: 231, Accurate #5,and Titegroup. As you said 231 is dirty, but usually accurate. A#5 and Titegroup are accurate and cleaner burning.
  18. Anyone going to this small show this coming weekend? I went to the last show and it was packed, but not many dealers with guns.
  19. I handload most all pistol calibers, but carry factory ammunition in carry guns. I use reloads for practice firing and for hunting and animal predators.
  20. I keep all my ammo in ammo cans, new factory and reloads. I shot some 44 mag last week that were reloaded in 1987 and 1991. Accuracy and grouping was good and no failure of any primers.

    Ticks

I have had several crawling and one embedded in thigh. The spot he was embedded after removal turned to a red rash. I went to Doctor and he gave me a two week supply of antibotics. He said it was infected and that this would take care of any possible tick infection (Lyme, etc).
  22. Welcome from Morrison. I was born/raised in Tullahoma and spent my first 22 yrs there.
  23. Nice size show, clean restrooms. I stayed to 1:00 pm, did not buy nor sale any guns. I almost bought a new tumbler, but convinced myself that my 20 year old one still does a good job.Nice pleasant drive.
  24. Hipower, 66 snubbie is listed in TGO classified.
  25. I talked to gunshow promoter and show is Saturday/Sunday as scheduled. Over 200 tables and all guns, knives, accesories and no flea market stuff. See you there Saturday morning early.
