  1. A model 66 is more desirable with adjustable sights. Model 65 had fixed sights, a v-notch and raised front sight. Check cylinder lock-up. Does cylinder have alot of play. Check inplay of cylinder, move alot fore and aft. Check bore for good rifling and no rust. Cock hammer and psh forward toward cylinder, if it drops no good. Check for any gaps between cylinder crane and receiver, is it sprung. Cock hammer back and see if cylinder locks-up each time, do it six times. Try pulling trigger to check double action pull. It should be smooth and fall with enough force to ignite primer. If it passes above, should be okay/safe. Good luck!!
  2. I'll be there, something to do Saturday morning. I will have a couple of handguns to trade/sale.
  3. I have used 3 different powders with 45 ACP in a Berry's plated 185g bullet: 231, Accurate #5,and Titegroup. As you said 231 is dirty, but usually accurate. A#5 and Titegroup are accurate and cleaner burning.
  4. Anyone going to this small show this coming weekend? I went to the last show and it was packed, but not many dealers with guns.
  5. I handload most all pistol calibers, but carry factory ammunition in carry guns. I use reloads for practice firing and for hunting and animal predators.
  6. I keep all my ammo in ammo cans, new factory and reloads. I shot some 44 mag last week that were reloaded in 1987 and 1991. Accuracy and grouping was good and no failure of any primers.

    Ticks

I have had several crawling and one embedded in thigh. The spot he was embedded after removal turned to a red rash. I went to Doctor and he gave me a two week supply of antibotics. He said it was infected and that this would take care of any possible tick infection (Lyme, etc).
  8. Welcome from Morrison. I was born/raised in Tullahoma and spent my first 22 yrs there.
  9. Nice size show, clean restrooms. I stayed to 1:00 pm, did not buy nor sale any guns. I almost bought a new tumbler, but convinced myself that my 20 year old one still does a good job.Nice pleasant drive.
  10. Hipower, 66 snubbie is listed in TGO classified.
  11. I talked to gunshow promoter and show is Saturday/Sunday as scheduled. Over 200 tables and all guns, knives, accesories and no flea market stuff. See you there Saturday morning early.
  12. Looking for Glock or SW M&P Compact to trade on.
  13. I'll be there. I'll be the guy with a snub nose SW Model 66. Trying to sale/trade. Stop me and take a look, you might want to add it to your collection. I will call promoter to insure show is on for this weekend. A 1.5 hr drive to get there.
  14. I have the G26, 33, 36 and 21 SRF. I love them all but carry the G33 or 36.
  15. I have four Glocks: G21SF -4Gen, G26-3Gen, G33-3Gen, and G36-3Gen. I have no SW M&P's. I might have to try a compact one someday, I don't like the full size.
  16. Has anyone been to this show before, is it any good? It would be 1.5 hr drive for me one way, I don't know if it is worth the drive. I have a revolver SW 66 to sale/trade. I would be looking for individuals with money or handguns to trade.Does it have a good turn-out?
  17. Received by Crossbreed Super tuck for subcompact Glocks today. Took less than 4 weeks. I am wearing it now with my G33 and it feels good. Should be alot better when broke-in. Thanks TGO for recommendations.
  18. Might make sure barrel assembly is forward enough. I usually have to take a plastic hammer and give good tap back of receiver. This gets hole in grip and receiver aligned so takedown assembly can be inserted all the way thru top hole in back of barrel.
  19. I have two 550B on a 6' solid wood topped bench, loaders are about 3' apart. They work great, one is set with small primer and the second large. I reload handgun calibers 9mm to 454 Casuall. Good luck with your set-up, you can not go wrong with Dillon equipment. My oldest Dillon is 25+ years old with only primer alarm replaced.
  20. Show to expensive with parking for its size, I want go there for a while. We need another show in Murfreesboro, it was a much bigger and better show with more individual sells.
  21. They are awesome guns for deer size hunting and wild pig. I just purchased a Super Redhawk in 44 Mag for this fall. I had the 454, just to mush recoil and expensive ammo. The 44 Mag has alot less expensive reloading components. Good luck with your Redhawk and enjoy the shooting.
  22. Can't beat a Ruger Mark II or III. Very accurate and reliable handgun that will last for decades. Many after market parts are available to change to your particular tastes. The grandkids love to shoot it.
  23. Like the others have said the shorter OAL more pressure.OAL also is set to insure good reliable feeding from mag to chamber. I set at recommendation in reloading manual and on some bullets slightly longer for better taper crimp on flat bullet surface.
  24. I loaded 11.8g of Accurate #9 with 124g Hornady XTP. Mild recoil and very good accuracy. This will be my practice & plinking load. Thanks TGO for your recommendations.
  25. I carry the PM9 in right front pocket or IWB 4 o'clock. The CW9 and CM9 are same size and less expensive. 9mm is my minimum caliber to carry. Six rounds of 9MM.
