  1. I have been wanting a 9mm AR. What do you think of these two brands, complete gun? Internet prices run around $900 w/free shipping, is this high for M4 type withflip-up rear sight? Any LGS with better out-the-door prices? Lower receivers of CMMG about $290 complete. thanks
  2. Patrick38b, Buy my Glock 21 Gen4 and you will have $25 left over for a box of ammo.
  3. I purchased a M&P 15 this summer due to TGO recommendations. I am very satisfied with it. I've sighted in iron sights at 100 yds and have now ordered a 6x compact scope, QD rings and Blackhawk sling. I bought mine at D&T in Goodletsville ($741w/tax/bgc).
  4. 124g +p Golden Saber for me.
  5. I would go with the M&P over the XD. I have the M&P 45c, 9 full size and 9c. Only the 45c has the apex kit. I would also recommend Glocks. I have the Glock 21 Gen4, G23 Gen3 (RTF2), G33 Gen3, and G36 Gen3. These two manuacturers tend to give me the size range/calibers that I like plus decent triggers, that can be modified if needed.
  6. I have a G23 Gen3 with RTF2 grips texture. I really like this better than regular Gen3 and the new Gen4.
  7. I order a Leapers UTG Hi profile QD rings today from Midway. I'll also add a 6X-32 compact scope. Thanks OhShoot for the information.
  8. I would like to add a quick detach scope to by M&P15 Sport. I have it sighted in at 100 yds with iron sights. At age 65 my eyes need some help at this range. I would like to add a quick detach base and a fixed power scope (maybe 4x) to the receiver rail and keep iron flip up rear sight. Those that have such a setup, what do you recommend? Also my income is fixed and I need to hold down on expenses. thanks
  9. I use Toliver's in Manachester for $20 transfers which includes $10 state fee. Small towns are sometimes good too!
  10. Thanks for the advice. I got out of cowboy shoots and had loaded alot of 357 mag reloads. You usually shoot about 100 rds per match. I guess I'll slowly shoot it all up. Thanks again for keeping me out of trouble.
  11. If you have excess reloaded cowboy type ammo in a particular caliber, is it legal to sale? Not on going sales, but one time sale of one or two calibers.
  12. I plan on adding a 357 Sig barrel next, since I reload this caliber. May also add SS guide rod and 20# spring. Then will think about Mep. night sights.
  13. I just picked this up at local pawn shop. Looked new. Shot 50 rds thru it and grouped/handled very good. Has anyone else owned one of these? The texture maybe rough on clothes for conceal carry, but OWB should be okay. Gun does not slip in hand during recoil. I like the scalloped slide serrations and they aid slide manipulation. What do you think?
  14. Went to show, did very well in selling Walther PPS and Single action holster rig. Dealer prices seemed high on guns and wanted to much boot on used Glock 32. I would probably go again. Not quite as big as Murfreesboro show.
  15. I'll stick with my Glock 36 for a compact 45 ACP. I've had several Kahr's and all were excellant carry and reliable. My PM9 has a ss guide rod and tip.
  16. I saw one at Outpost Armory last Friday afternoon, exit 89 I24. Price around $599.
  17. I might give it a try. It is same driving distance as going to Hendersonville show for me. I've heard it is usually a nice size show with alot of walk-around traders. I have a Walther PPS (9mm) and a M&P 40c to try sale/trade and maybe a Norico 1897 12 ga Pump.
  18. What do you think of this design? It seems small but blocky? How does a PPS shoot and handle? What magazine extension is best?
  19. Get a used Marlin Model 336 in 30-30, check where barrel meets receiver it will be stamped "JM" , Marlin's proof mark. If Stamped REM, then Remington. There is aused Marlin in TGO classified.
  20. I too like lever actions. I currently have a Marlin 1894CB45 and a Marlin 1895 45-70. I want to get a Marlin 336 in 30-30 for hunting. I currently have my 1894CB45 in classified.

    M&P45

I have the M&P45c with Apex trigger kit and trigger is great. I like the ergonomics better than my G21 Gen4. My 45c is a keeper.
  22. I keep photos and serials of all guns in my computer and keep a listing in my billfold.
  23. I have had G19's which I like and another closes size polymer is SW M&P 9C which has a better trigger. I would vote for these two. Reliable, fewer parts, and accurate weapons.
  24. I have box of older 38 spec and 9mm Federal Nyclad. I too have not found any new production.
