I've owned several Marlin 336 in 30/30 and 35 Rem. They are good deer woods guns. I have harvested several deer with these guns.

What's The Best IWB Tuckable Holster & Do They Work?
lshel replied to a topic in Firearms Gear and Accessories
Crossbreed Super Tuck, I have two. One for my M&P compacts and one for my Glock compacts. Very comfortable and hidden from view. The only problem is the 3+ week wait time after ordering. -
S&W M&P 9 is the most comfortable feel and also shoots great.

Most women I've known feel more at easy with a J-frame type revolver. My wife has trouble loading pistol mags and pulling the slide back. She shoots pistol good after it is loaded. With a revolver she has no problem. She likes the Ruger LCR and the SW 640 with 38 spec loads. These revolvers are slim and light and can be had with a laser. Good luck.

22 lr 38 spec 357 mag 9mm 40 SW 45 ACP 45 Colt 5.56mm 308 30/30 45/70 That's it.

M&P's are addictive. I bought a 45c and added ns and Apex trigger kit, next bought a 9 and left it as is, then bought a 9c and added ns. I've ordered several mags from Midway. The M&P 9 shipped right away and the 9C took 2 months. I've looked at Shield, but like my Kahr PMP better. I use to put Glocks over M&P's but now Glocks are in 2nd place. I still have 4 glocks in compact and subcompact models.

Both nightsights and a good light. I have a Streamlight TLR-3 and TruGlo night sights on my M&P 9, house gun. Also NS aids in finding gun in dark from receiver side when on nightstand or drawer. My M&P9 is in a holster perpendicular to mattress.

I just pulled bullets from 100 rds of 45/70 ammo with 405g LRFP bullets using a RCBS Hammer type bullet puller. What a very handy tool for the reloader. Better still don't load up an abundance of ammoand then sale your rifle. I also learned some differences between brass manufacturers, The Federal (FC) tool about 8 wacks of mallet vs 4 wacks for other brass manufacturers. I'm assuming the FC brass walls are thicker. Everyone needs at least one bullet puller. I am going to buy another RCBS for back-up. What a labor saver.

I went and it was a good turn out on Saturday. Prices were about usual, same as gunshops. I would go again next time in Manchester.

Don't forget to come out to fair grounds and do some trading.

Great American Promotions LLC is having a gunshow at 919 Lakeview Drive at Coffee County Fairgrounds on Nov. 10/11, 9-5 on Saturday and 10-3 Sunday. I'll be there Saturday morning with a Marlin 1895SS 45/70 Leveraction slung over my shoulder. Looking to trade or sale it. Maybe I'll see ya there.

Last weekend my wife shot the LAR-9 at 25 yards and grouped about 2"c-c. She was able to hit the top portion of bowling pins at 25 yds. She shot 50 rds and did real well. I took LAR-9 out today and shot about 85 rounds of assorted ammunition: FMJ., HP, SP, and CCI Blazers. Goup size was about 1.5" at 25 yards standing. Bowling pins were very easy to hit, especially the narrower tops. I don't know why I haven't owned a 9mm AR before. Ammo is much cheaper and recoil is non-existant. Now I need to catch Federal 100 rd packs of 9mm FMJ at Wal-Mart ($19.99). I've never been able to find it in stock, always on backorder.

ASC LLC of New Britian, CT makes mags and can be ordered thru their web-sight, $19.99 + shipping. I reload, but not 9mm.

I just shot my new RRA LAR-9 and the single stage trigger is very heavy. Is there a way to improve without spending alot of cash? I shot it okay, but my wife may have problems.

I bought an ASC Ltd mag with orange plastic follower, it held bolt open on last round shot. Can a similar follower be used in place of the UZI metal follower? Any body have experience in buying and installing such a follower.

I ordered this from Bud'd Gunshop and received yesterday. Fired 50 rds thru it this morning using Blazer 9mm 115g FMJ and Winchester Target 115g FMJ. After zeroing ATN Ultra-Sight, groups within 1.5" at 25 yds. Also shot tops of bowling pins at 25 yds. Very accurate and no recoil. Trigger is a little heavy. RRA mag (UZI modified/w metal follower) worked well but did not hold bolt open on last round. A.S.C. LLC mag with orange plastic follower worked well and held bolt open on last round. No feeding or extracting problems. Next, the wife gets to shoot it. A very good short range carbine for house and woods. I shot 2 rounds at 100 yds and it hit high on target, would hit a man size target. The ATN reflecx red dot sight worked good. I bought a Magpul MBUS rear sight, but may return it, for I really like reflex sight. I will purchase another ASC mag at $23.95. I wonder if an ASC follower, if available, would work in UZI mag? I may add a front sight tri-rail mount for a light and/or laser, for I don't see a need for a forearm w/quad rails.. What would you suggest?

I have the M&P 45c with Crossbreed IWB holster, very easy carry. I also added apex duty kit and trigger is great. I have had no failure to feed, etc. Great gun in polymer line.

Thanks for the advice. I will most likely buy some CProducts 9mm mags.

I have gone with the suggested RRA over the CMMG. I ordered 16" carbine RRA LAR-9, that was in stock at Bud's Gun Shop in KY. I want to add an economical A2/A3 Carry w/rear sight. What is a good brand and lower priced? I plan on ordering some extra mags after initial firing, maybe RRA brand ($28). thanks
-
Has anyone tried the above mags? $20 is cheap, compared to $75.
-
How do you convert UZI mag for the RRA 9mm? I am thinking about going to RRA LAR-9 which comes with a Colt 32 rd mag. Colt mags are around $75. What is cost of UZI mag and conversion parts? thanks

Finally made it to the range with my G32 (357 sig)
lshel replied to dieewigeteufel's topic in Handguns
I have th G33 an it's a handful. The Pearce grip on a G32 mag makes it a little more comfortable. -
I have a Crossbreed Supertuck that works on my M&P's: 9, 9c, 45c. I also have a Kramer paddle holster for OWB carry.
-
I went, parking was limited, prices were high. Alot of people there. I was looking for AR in 9mm. I found a Colt and a CMMG, both base prices were $200+ Internet prices. So I'm still looking for one.

Is this show still on for this coming weekend? If so I will be there early Saturday morning. I'll be carrying a G21 Gen4 for sale or trade.
