1. I have this N-PAP with wooden stock but no sling swivel. I have given thought of just installing a sling swivel stud screw with 1 1/4" swivel (cheapest alternative) . This would take away from AK47 look. The other options are a Midwest Quick-Detach swivel mounted on wooden stock ($30) or Sling swivel attachment mounted under pistol grip ($24) . How have others solved the problem of a sling swivel on wooden stock????
2. I took my Romanian Wasr10 CAI 2011 out to shoot for the second time after adding collapsible stock and UTG side-rail mount(thanks OH Shoot) with a Mueller Red dot sight. Last week I sighted in red dot for 50 yds. This week I was shooting 12" gong at 100yds and 8" steel plate at 50yds keeping red dot centered on both and hit both consistently. I could make center shots on 25yd target by aiming 3" high. Until I tried an AK47, I thought they were not accurate and a piece of junk riveted  sheet metal. I guess first hand I found out why so many nations have and still use this weapon.
3. I bought my Marlin 1894 44 Marlin (Manufactured 1979)  off this site or Armslist for $560 and added fiber optic front sight and peep rear sight ($50).  Great shooter out to 100 yds. Just keep looking and advertise WTB. Hold out for the Marlin, Rossi i& Henry are okay, but not Marlin's quality prior to Remington's ownership.
4. Being a fugal person, I was wondering how the Tapco AK-74 M14x1.0 LH muzzle break performs?
5. Maybe you are not full length resizing. Is there a bulge just below rim after resizing. If so need to turn die down to resize all the way to rim.
6. I WAS IN MURFREESBORO THIS MORNING AND STOPPED AT WALMART ON OLD FORT PKWY AND BOUGHT 5 MORE BOXES OF 40RDS OF TULA FOR $9.94/BX.    I USUALLY BUY ONLINE TOO BUT SHIPPING COST EATS UP THE BARGAIN UNLESS I GET FROM SPORTSMAN GUIDE WHEN SHIPPING IS FREE FOR OVER $49 PURCHASE. I WAS GOING TO ORDER FROM CHEAPER-THAN-DIRT A 1000 RDS OF TULA FOR $219.95 BUT SHIPPING WAS $48. SO PRICE PER RD WOULD BE $0.268.
7. I was at local Walmart yesterday and found 7 boxes of 40 rds each of Tula steel 123g FMJ for $9.94 per box. I bought 5 bx and left 2 bx for the next guy. This is the 1st time that I've found a deal on ammo. Usually what I'm looking for is not in stock. Thought I would share that Walmart has 7.62x39 in stock.
8. Hornady Critical Defense in my Kahr CW380.
9. Thanks Oh Shoot, I ordered the UTG Pro. What type of recoil/butt pad do you have on AK?
10. I have a Romanian Wasr10 with side rail that I would like to attach a mount to use a scope or aimpoint type device. Which mount is most economical and best for price? thanks
11. Went from 10:00am- noon, not a bad show. Found a Romanian Wasr10  AK47 with wooden furniture with Bulgarian 30rd mag and black carry bag at a reasonable price. Sold a Tasco 6-24x40 scope and purchased a Tapco 30 rd mag and a 100 rds of Tula 124g 7.62x39 fmj ammo.
12. I picked up a Howa 1500 Ranchland 308 with 20" barrel and added a Vortex Diamondback HP 3-12x40 scope to replace the Osprey 3-12x50 that was on it.  I sighted it in at 100 yds. Shot several 3 shot groups less than 3/4" at 100 yds off a bench with the new scope. The previous owner had added the 10 rd detachable magazine conversion. This will be my bolt action set-up in 308. Wish I had room to try the dead-hold BDC reticle at 200 - 400 yds.

Kimber Solo

I agree, a very pretty handgun but rough on the shooting hand. I traded mine for a Sig P938, which is more pleasant to shoot.
14. I see some I.O. M247-CAK-47 7.62x39 or sale $539-$600, are these any good??
15. I ASSUMED MILLED WAS BETTER, BUT I'M NOT AN EXPERT, JUST AN OLDER BEGINNER.
16. I have no knowledge pertaining to AK47's, but I would like to try one, preferable used and less than $700. I have several AR-15's and one AR10 and wanted to check out an AK47 in 7.62x39. What is best buy for the money and from what country and importer? I would appreciate any advise. thanks.
17. I tried various pocket 380's: P238, G42,and Kahr CW380. The CW380 is what I went with for pocket carry. Much smaller for pocket carry than other two and lighter. I had thought about the Beretta Pico, but I saw too many complaints.  The CW380 has mild recoil and has fed and ejected every thing that I have tried. I keep it loaded with Hornady Critical Defense in 90g FTX. This is lighter than my PM9 which I carry in pocket or IWB.
18. I installed an XS Big Dot sight on my SW 640 a couple of years ago. I ordered sight from MidWay. The sight does not have the roll pin hole drilled. You will need to drift out front sight roll pin, insert new sight with Blue Locktite and then drill roll pin hole thru XS sight base part way thru from both sides. Then drift roll pin with blue locktite back thru sight base and XS sight. There are several installations video's on You-tube. Good luck.
19. Handguns that I 've used for pocket carry that will fit my front or back pocket and is easily drawn are: Kahr PM9, Sig P938, Sig P238, Kimber Solo Carry DC, S&W Bodyguard 380. My XDS 9 is too heavy and large for my pockets, okay for IWB. These are the ones that have worked for me.   PM9 and P938 have been my keepers.
20. I ordered some G10 grips for the P226. I'll let you know how they fit and feel.
21. I have a P226R with regular plastic Sig Grips which make grip circumference too big.   I have a Sig short trigger coming to help reduce finger reach to trigger.   I would like to pursue a thinner grip also, for I have short stubby fingers. Is the Hogue Aluminum checkered Extreme thinner than the G10 checkered Extreme? Who has one or both grips on the Sig P226 that can give me some feedback. prior to spending $100+.   thanks
22. M&P's.
23. I saw this advertised for this weekend 3/21 &22 2015 at White County fair grounds on Hale Street. Pretty nice small show with alot of guys walking around with rifles/shotguns/handguns for sale or trade. I plan on going Saturday morning and take a Ruger SP101 357 mag and a Sig P220R in 45 acp, just in case I see something of interest.
24. The SOLO and PM9 will fit the same holster. I have a Galco OWB and a Alien Gear that both fit. The PM9 has a longer trigger pull and is less recoil sensitive to me. The SOLO has 2.7" barrel with OA weight 17oz unloaded and the PM9 has 3.1" barrrel and 14 oz OA weight unloaded. Both are dependable 9mm single stacks and both of mine have night sights.
25. I bought a used Kimber Solo Carry DC 9mm lnib with extra mags. The previous owner wanted to sale due to the recoil. He had bought it about 9 months ago and shot around 200 rds thru it. He said he had no problem if shooting 124g bullet or heavier. I took it out today and shot 53 rds thru it at a fixed target 15ft away using the below assorted ammo: 124g fmj WCC 11(head stamp) 11 rds (6rd mag) 0 (8rd mag) 125g Triton BHP P+ 6rds 8rds 115g hp 1200 fps reloads 6rds 8rds 115g Blazer Brass fmj 6rds 8rds total 53rds I had no miss feeds and the slide stayed open on last round of each mag. I made sure bullets were aligned in mag when loading and mag was inserted with slide open and slide release was dropped to feed 1st round. Recoil was heavy to web of hand. Accuracy at 15 ft was good. Looks like a keeper for alternating with PM9 for conceal carry.
