Owl Hollow Gun Club has a range south of Franklin by about 10 miles. Its $50/year and you have to go through a safety class before joining. I haven't shot there in a few years but I recently renewed my membership. Now I just need some free time and good weather!

+1 on Guns and Leather Its pretty cheap ($60) but can't compare to MJPD. Greenbrier is north of Nashville a bit. Pretty nice indoor range which is really great when you take the class in the winter.

I took my carry class at Guns and Leather. Seems like a pretty good shop. Their range is very nice and they quite a selection of "toys".

Well I'm another newbie from Nashville... I managed to drag my wife out shooting for the first time a couple of weeks ago. Now if I can only get her excited about it -- who needs a 401k, just invest in firearms!

Well, actually Bellevue but that's close enough to Nashville. I'm a long term gun nut but I just found this forum the other day. Lots of good information from what I can tell so far.

Called today to check and it was issued today. Now I get to sit and wait for the mail every day... dwrd -- I was in the Franklin DMV early that morning. I was done and out the door by about 8:30. Glad several of us were in there. Hopefully the DMV will get used to processing handgun permit applications several at a time; the good guys need to be armed!

No, I took it at Guns and Leather in Greenbrier. I live out in Bellevue, so I'm close to nothing! I do work in Franklin, so maybe that's an option for later on. I'm definitely interested in taking some more classes. You can never learn too much! I do like the avatar... I've been Bubba since I was about 6. My high school yearbook even had me listed as Bubba. Its on my business cards... dang I'm a redneck!
