I know of a nice 1300 for sale -
I decided I need something lighter and more nimble for my occasional riding. This is a 2012 Yamaha VStar 1300 with 1200 (yes, only twelve hundred - I didn't forget a zero) miles. It runs and rides just like it should. It has had the Yamaha OEM windscreen, passenger backrest, and saddlebags/mounts installed so it is effectively a tourer model. All lights have been replaced with LEDs. It has a Cobra Fi2000 PowerPro tuner, Cobra slip-on exhaust and Baron Custom Accessories Big Air kit installed. I have all the original accessories other than the exhaust. Garage stored while on a battery tender. $5500 in Mt. Juliet. Cash in hand for any test rides.

Bumping to the top -
I deleted the AUX battery. Well, it's still riding along in the Jeep but it's completely disconnected electrically. The AUX battery tends to kill the main when it dies.

Best Jimmy Buffett experience - ever! -
Wife and I early voted yesterday. Primaries are crucial to vote in - even when there aren't many races you can vote in.

They are a blast. I just don't get to shoot this one enough. It's time for someone else to enjoy it - and the history which goes with it. As a software guy, it's really difficult to give up an IBM firearm! -
SOLD For sale is a nice IBM M1 Carbine. Comes with 2 mags and approximately 600 rounds of ammo. 100 rounds are Magtech and approx 500 (I'm pretty sure this is as purchased but I can't be 100%) rounds Aguila in the ammo can. I won't sell the ammo separately unless the M1 sells to someone not interested in the ammo. $1500 in the Mt. Juliet area. Prefer a TN HCP holder for obvious reasons. If you don't the ammo, just let me know and we will figure something out.

For sale is a minty S&W Model 325 Thunder Ranch revolver. It's a 45 ACP revolver. Pictures show the condition. Comes with several moon clips along with the appropriate tools to make stuffing/unstuffing the clips easy. $1200 in the Mt. Juliet area. Prefer a TN HCP holder for obvious reasons.

I'll take the other. PM on the way. I kept waiting to give others a shot... -
The steering damper rarely causes death wobble. It can help mask the problem but replacing the damper is almost always at best a band-aid (at least in my experience).

I had a similar experience with my TJ. When I would hit a bump at certain speeds, it would start shaking until I slowed down significantly. Then I could return to speed with no problem. Turns out it just needed an alignment and the wheels balanced. Tire Discounters in Bellevue took care of me. I've heard good things about Tennessee Offroad (http://4xaddict.com/) but they are in Lebanon. They also cater to the more 'hardcore' Jeepers.

This isn't old school - 100 MHz was blazing fast and high tech back in the day. I thought my 12 MHz 286 was fast at one point. -
Agreed. They are still a bit of drive for me even from this side of town. I have found 2 FFLs about 5 miles from the house since moving to Mt. J - both always treat me right. I still frequent GGS.

Phillip at Goodlettsville Gun Shop is good people. The fact you travel that far for a transfer speaks volumes.

I used my leaf blower to clear the driveway. This was such a dry, powdery snow it did just fine.

My money is on one of you reading the metric side of the ruler... Or Bellevue has gotten significantly larger since I moved. We got over 7" out in Mt Juliet, measured on top of my flat firepit on the back patio.

Slide drop on an empty chamber. Okay /No Way?
bubbadavis replied to NoBanStan's topic in General Chat
The only guns I really care about are 1911s for the reasons Massad mentions. Even then, it's only the nicer ones I'm very concerned about. No one wants to mess up a Nighthawk or Wilson Combat. Personally, I don't make it a matter of practice to drop the slide on any semi-auto. -

Sent my package in before the deadline was extended. My random number was emailed in October. All 4 grades were available when I got the call. Selected a service grade and received it in December - a Remington Rand slide and frame. Definitely very, very pleased.
