  1. Not true! I gave a gun to my Brother who lives out of State and he wanted to be sure it was Legal, so he checked with Dealer's in town and was told, the Gun would have to be shipped from here to a Dealer in his State by a FFL and then be registered to him!

He checked with Scottie on Brainerd Rd (who even deals FA Guns and was told, he would not need to do anything!)

My Brother however did have Scottie transfer ownership from me to my Brother for $45. even though Scottie told him he was wasting $45! LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I assume you are talking about a long gun. Your brother did indeed need to do a transfer through a FFL to be legal. If it was a handgun, the FFL messed up. From the ATF FAQ website (http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/unlicensed-persons.html):

Q: From whom may an unlicensed person acquire a firearm under the GCA?

A person may only acquire a firearm within the person’s own State, except that he or she may purchase or otherwise acquire a rifle or shotgun, in person, at a licensee’s premises in any State, provided the sale complies with State laws applicable in the State of sale and the State where the purchaser resides. A person may borrow or rent a firearm in any State for temporary use for lawful sporting purposes.

    [18 U.S.C. 922(a)(3) and (5), 922(:D(3), 27 CFR 478.29 and 478.30]

  2. Seriously he is a brother in law he can't just drive here and trade you here?

I'm not trying to ruffle any feathers but wouldn't that make the most sense?

Doesn't matter if its his father - transferring guns across state lines requires a FFL be involved.

  3. Any guns being transferred across state lines must involve a FFL. He can deliver/ship them to a FFL in TN, if they will take them from an individual, and they can do the transfer.

  4. I for one can't wait until the next episode where kwik is walking down the street in nashville or somewhere else with the plr 16 hanging in a holster on his side. Legal? Yea if he has a carry permit (even from FL)

I'm not sure about this - since he is a legal resident of TN. The laws state that you must get a TN permit no later than 6 months after establishing residency. Kwik would probably pursue some legal actions related to this.

  5. Some people just can't seem to get a grip that "one of those" is running the country. They're offended...I'm offended that they're offended.

I'm offended that a liberal is running the country. There, I said it...

  6. I hope none of our TGO'ers in the Memphis area are affected by the flooding.

After living through what happened in Nashville last summer, I wouldn't wish flooding on any community. We were only inconvenienced by the flood but neighbors just a 1/2 mile away got flooded. It can be devastating.

  7. I'm using Chrome but some refreshes are pretty slow. My browser shows that its waiting on content from tacticalrepublic.com - which provides the national ads, I believe. It may be caching the images for those ads that's causing the slowness.

  8. Why tilt the handgun? just move your head a fraction and use your dominant eye.I do however have to shoot long guns left hand because I am all but blind in my right eye.

Try it sometime. I tried moving my head over to use my left eye but it never felt natural. Tilting the handgun made a huge difference in my accuracy. It is very natural for me.
