  1. We'll trade you Larry Smith for a brick of .22 ammo and a boresnake to be named later...
  2. I'm not sure why this is called Dolomite's Trigger Improvement kit; I understood this to be an en devour by his boss - Tulip. I received a kit on Thursday and just got around to installing it today. First and foremost, the kit does exactly what is advertised. It takes up almost all the pre-travel on your AR trigger. It is simple to install and does not permanently alter the firearm in any way. Instructions are simple and easy-to-follow. Two thumbs up! I'll be ordering more for my upcoming AR builds.
  3. From Market share for mobile, browsers, operating systems and search engines | NetMarketShare. This is their graphic for total desktop marketshare - no server market, etc. Otherwise, the Linux portion would be significantly higher. This might be one reason people target Windows instead of Mac with viruses, malware, etc.
  4. I wanna play too! This was at probably the worst time of day to run the test: 7:30pm.
  5. Oh, I understand the legal aspect of it: the trust is a different legal entity than the person. However, moving ownership of items from an individual to a trust (that the individual is part of) seems to be a special case they could/should handle differently. Its a different situation (in reality, not legality) than me transferring ownership to you. Of course, its a way for the government to make more $$$.
  6. Yep. You would have to transfer ownership from you (the individual) to the trust. ATF considers that a transfer just like any other. Makes as much sense as other gun laws...
  7. If you don't go the trust route (which I also recommend), send your paperwork to the Chief of Police in Davidson County. Due to the way the metro government was setup, he is the CLEO in the county. This is different from most counties in TN - where you would send the paperwork to the sheriff.
  8. Great business plan - especially since I'm in the process of planning my next AR build!
  9. How do you plan on making money at this rate? Volume?
  10. Count me in.
  11. I also used Chip Cain (another TGO vendor) for my trust. It was a painless process and well worth the expense, IMO. If you go the trust route, I'd recommend one of the TGO vendors that provide legal services. They not only deal with firearms in their legal practice but also participate in TGO and are personally involved with firearms. They can provide you both the lawyer and the gun owner viewpoints.
  12. Any more specifics on where the range will be? I'd like to know if its as close as I hope. If you don't feel comfortable posting that info, I understand.
  13. Good guess Trekbike, the location was down River Road. I don't know the specifics - my wife and I actually drove down RR a bit yesterday to see if we could spot the location. It doesn't take too far down that way to get 'out of the city'. Most of the neighbors in any other direction would have serious problems with a range!
  14. We will miss you mousegunner. RIP
  15. Just a bill - never even made it to a vote: H.R. 4646 [111th]: Debt Free America Act (GovTrack.us).
  16. They are planning an outdoor range not far from the shop. Last I spoke to them, they didn't have details (at least available to the public) as to when it would be ready, etc.
  17. Congrats. I'll loan you a shotgun when she gets to dating age...
  18. The Corps of Engineers published flood maps a couple of years ago. They show the predicted flooding based on the severity of dam failure. The maps show severe flooding downtown and all along the Cumberland. I would suggest looking at the flood maps (the had them at the downtown library - they may be online now) and see if your area would be affected.
  19. If you go to the auction, be sure to publicly ask about any liens. That way everyone will know the status of what they might be bidding on.
  20. Carrying a gun is a crime in TN. A HCP is simply a defense. It sounds like splitting hairs but legally there is a difference. Among other details, this allows LEO to stop anyone open carrying to check their permit.
  21. Fallguy, can you go after Illinois and DC next? Thanks for all of your effort - it really benefits all of us.
  22. Just make sure the Texas FFL will accept shipments from non-FFL holders.
  23. I work in the Vandy area.
  24. Its been awhile since I've done any packet-radio. I hope to keep it that way. At least the server and DB performance wouldn't be an issue! We need a mid-TN TGO/ham club. At least we could talk to each other as the world comes to an end.
  25. Most importantly, when the time comes, how to we make sure TGO is up and accessible? I can go a few days without food (OK, my doctor would tell you quite a few days) but I need my daily TGO fix.
