  1. Its only against the law if they are posted. This aspect of the law changed several years ago.
  2. One is certified by the state, the other by the NRA. You have to have state cert to teach the HCP class. You need NRA cert to teach NRA classes.
  3. If I remember correctly, the Kel-Tec shotgun was $1499
  4. I stopped by G&L and picked up a pistol today. Place was absolutely crazy. I looked for you Metalhead but I didn't see you around. Unfortunately, I wasn't the one that picked up the Ladyhawk. But he was leaving as I got there.
  5. For me, its usually more like: 'abandon all money, when ye enter G&L'. You always seem to have something I can't live without and, for some reason, I always get great customer service...
  6. I can't believe the poor customer service you gave the guy Ain't working with the public grand?
  7. Are you tumbling with stainless steel media?
  8. The engineer in me is intrigued. The gunowner in me asks "why?".
  9. My most recent HP came with normal cartridges. They do sell XL size ones that are larger but they do market the same ones that came in my printer.
  10. Not all manufactures do. HP comes to mind as one that puts 'full size' cartridges in with their printers. I have bought other printers (Canon or Lexmark - can't remember which) that shipped smaller volume cartridges than they sold. They didn't advertise this but the cartridges had the volume listed on them.
  11. Take a look at http://en.wikipedia..../Inkjet_printer. While WikiPedia is usually a very suspect source, they have references for the business model discussion. A very common business model is to make your profit on consumables. When I worked in laboratory automation, that was one business model my company discussed: break even on the hardware and software and make your money on the laboratory consumables.
  12. Several years ago, I had BestBuy try to sell me a 3yr warranty on a printer. The printer was on sale for $39.97 and the warranty was $39.99. They were shocked when I turned down their generous offer.
  13. That's their business model - make the $ off the ink... In all fairness, the ink cartridges that come with printers usually have less ink than the ones you purchase separately. They only want enough ink in the box to get you going (and make the selling company not seem cheap).
  14. I'm not willing to take a chance with having to make that argument to a LEO or in court... I agree the sign is too small (in my opinion) but it does have the legal language on it.
  15. If you drive by one of their signs, legally posting the property, even leaving it in the car is technically illegal. You carried past a legal posting just to get to the parking lot.
  16. Is the date nailed down? Last post I saw mentioned Mar 3 or Mar 10.
  17. I've know a local 'smith that might be up for the job. I'll ask him and pass along his info. He is honest enough to admit if something might be over his head and won't attempt anything he's not comfortable with.
  18. When my sister's family visits, we turn my nieces loose at Red Caboose Park in Bellevue and let them run wild for awhile. It doesn't really help - they still are going when all the adults need a nap. If the weather is nice, you might want to take her to local park.
  19. What's with this 'or' stuff? Everyone needs a 19 and a 23!
  20. KY is class III friendly. Most of the gun laws are as good as - if not better than - Tennessee's.
  21. Had to actually work at work today... Thank goodness TGO is back up!
  22. Where are they?
  23. I got mine at Bass Pro. A month or so ago Dicks @ Nashville West had them in stock. Sorry about the bad, or at least dated, intel.
  24. Dicks, Academy and Bass Pro usually have them in stock. I would guess some of the larger local gun shops would also - but I can't say for sure.
  25. Just in case anyone needs one, SBR is taking orders for .458 case gauges.
