  1. The M&P trigger and reset can be greatly improved with the upgrades from Apex. It's more $ but the trigger gets much better.

R1100R, I've got a M&P compact you need to shoot. It might change your mind about the M&P. A good friend of mine asks me not to bring it around cause its too tempting...

  2. I'd have to buy another 41 to do it... I've got one that was a gift from my Dad - I just wouldn't modify it. So while the mods might be less expensive than they look, add on the cost of a S&W 41 and it gets pretty pricey!

I do love the look. The idea of a second slide for a suppressor has me intrigued. That might be a possibility in the near future.

  3. I don't know about the notification for crossing state lines. I'm sure this has come up before.

As for out of state trustees, it is possible. I know of at least one trust with trustees from two different states.

In general, its one stamp per NFA item, the government has to make their money somewhere... There may be some exceptions with full autos that are SBR'd, etc. I'll allow someone more knowledgeable to chime in with the specifics.

  4. The bullet will travel 2700 FPS from its frame of reference (e.g. the plane) so the bullet will behave as if it was shot on the ground. Relative to the ground, the bullet will be traveling at 5400 FPS.

Better question, where do I find one of these Mach 2.5 planes? :)

  5. Ask anyone that knows me. I can generally be bought for nothing.

I offer to help all the time without expecting anything in return, money or otherwise. I get all kinds of calls from members here and give my number out freely to anyone who wants to talk.

That is my contribution to our community here.

Oh I realize all that Gordon. I've been around here long enough to know your (well deserved) reputation! I just couldn't resist the smart-alec remark...

I am glad Ruger is coming through on this. Its good to see a company stand behind their product.

  6. So you can be bought? :)

Glad this is working out. Nothing is more frustrating that problems with a new gun (and then getting the run around from the manufacturer). Its good that Ruger is making things right.

  7. If a firearm is purchased from us and has a problem new or used, we take care of it. Whether that be taking it and giving your money back, allowing what you paid towards something else, or repairing it ourselves/ taking care of the warranty repair with the manufacturer. If you bought a gun from us and you just changed your mind and dont like it anymore that aint gonna cut it, unfortunately.

While it wasn't with a firearm, G&L treated me really well on some magazine issues with a gun I purchased from them. I bought a 1911 that had one magazine that always had a FTF on the last round. I was going to send it back to the manufacturer but Daniel just handed me a new mag and said they'd deal with the manufacturer. He sure didn't have to do that - but it saved me some trouble. I don't expect them to take back a gun I bought in 2008 because I want something new...

  8. was that on a new gun or used? if it was new, I'd be curious to know if they restocked your returned gun as "new"...

G&L has great customer service. I firmly believe they would never try to pass off a used gun as new. I would bet $ they returned the gun to the distributor/manufacturer and got it replaced.
