As I understand it, TN will not honor a non-resident permit from another state for a TN resident. TN may honor the VA non-resident permit but only for non-TN residents. If you live in TN, you will have to get the TN HCP in order to carry.

I think its $10 but you can print a coupon from their website. That gets you in both days, BTW.

I'd have to buy another 41 to do it... I've got one that was a gift from my Dad - I just wouldn't modify it. So while the mods might be less expensive than they look, add on the cost of a S&W 41 and it gets pretty pricey! I do love the look. The idea of a second slide for a suppressor has me intrigued. That might be a possibility in the near future.

I don't know about the notification for crossing state lines. I'm sure this has come up before. As for out of state trustees, it is possible. I know of at least one trust with trustees from two different states. In general, its one stamp per NFA item, the government has to make their money somewhere... There may be some exceptions with full autos that are SBR'd, etc. I'll allow someone more knowledgeable to chime in with the specifics.

The bullet will travel 2700 FPS from its frame of reference (e.g. the plane) so the bullet will behave as if it was shot on the ground. Relative to the ground, the bullet will be traveling at 5400 FPS. Better question, where do I find one of these Mach 2.5 planes?

So you can be bought? Glad this is working out. Nothing is more frustrating that problems with a new gun (and then getting the run around from the manufacturer). Its good that Ruger is making things right.

While it wasn't with a firearm, G&L treated me really well on some magazine issues with a gun I purchased from them. I bought a 1911 that had one magazine that always had a FTF on the last round. I was going to send it back to the manufacturer but Daniel just handed me a new mag and said they'd deal with the manufacturer. He sure didn't have to do that - but it saved me some trouble. I don't expect them to take back a gun I bought in 2008 because I want something new...

G&L has great customer service. I firmly believe they would never try to pass off a used gun as new. I would bet $ they returned the gun to the distributor/manufacturer and got it replaced.

It works great - the inside of the brass gets clean. Primer pockets are cleaned. Brass looks like new. It is rather messy compared to corncob/walnut in a vibratory polisher.

Difference is the Marines train with it and know how to use it (and have some reason for using it). Its not something they picked up from TV...

If you are going to take your business elsewhere, I would not bother informing them of the law. That could make them post - which only affects other HCP holders.

I see two choices: 1) conceal and don't worry about it, or 2) provide them with a copy of the current law. If you take path #2, they could post - which would make carry illegal.
