  1. Done - sorry for not including it to start with. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  2. Paypal sent - thanks! Sent from my Nexus 7 using Tapatalk
  3. I'm in for one. Don't really care about the serial number...
  4. Could this be mandate by the fairgrounds? Everything so far seems to point to trying to make sure the fairgrounds is not-profitable. Then the city can turn it something else not profitable... Goodman's shows have allowed private sales for many years.
  5. 50% according to some people. :) Those people would be wrong, though...
  6. I'm sure its a complete coincidence.  :tinfoil:
  7. Full disclosure: I'm friends with Jeff and help him teaching HCP classes on occasion.   That said, he's done work on a few guns for me over the years. I've got an AR he did a trigger job on, a Ruger Super Blackhawk with a MCC trigger job and a S&W J-frame he's worked the trigger on. He helped me with rehabbing a Colt Woodsman a few years ago. While I don't have a SP101 or a Judge, I've always been happy with his work.
  8. Only thing that made the show worthwhile was picking up some reloading supplies from Sam.
  9. Its legal as long as the long gun is legal in your home state. However, not all FFLs are comfortable selling to someone out of state.   Background check, etc. still apply. I've bought long guns in KY without issue before - and no $10 TICS fee!
  10. Gun show had these for only $199 last weekend...
  11. Nice seeing you Sam. Thanks for the great deal on the 223.
  12. Less cost and less recoil are the advantages of 38.   Recoil really depends on the wheelgun. In a S&W 28, it doesn't really matter. In my 360M&P (airweight, snubnose j-frame), the difference in recoil matters. 357 magnums are just not alot of fun in a lightweight revolver.
  13. I just picked up a Winchester 94 in .45LC last week. Goes well with my 94XTR (30-30) and 9422.   I've got a thing for Winchester lever guns.
  14. I've always handed a Metro officer my HCP along with my driver's license. If they run the DL, they will know I have a HCP anyway. I'd rather put them at ease by being upfront about being armed. They have always treated me well.   There are stories around about officers treating HCP holders like criminals. Stuff like disarming during a traffic stop (legal in TN, BTW), etc. That has not been my experience, which is why I started this thread.
  15.   Oh yeah! I was very happy. My wife now things a HCP is a magic "get out of ticket" card.    Even if he had written me the ticket, he was professional and polite. Officers get a hard time when experiences are bad - I figured people need to know that at least some of them are doing things right!
  16. So I got pulled over this morning for 58 in a 45. I handed the officer my license and HCP. He asked if I was armed and, if so, where it was. I told him I was and where the gun was. He didn't even blink. Ran my license and only gave me a warning. He was very professional the entire time and didn't freak out when he found out I was armed. It was a younger officer (my wife said he looked about 12  :pleased: ).    This Metro officer was very polite and professional the entire time. As good an experience as you can hope to have when getting pulled over for speeding!
  17. Put 50 rounds of 115 gr UMC through my Shield on Friday. No problems whatsoever.
  18. I'm glad dlm37015 was too tired for OK. Picked up some plated 9mm at an awesome price. Didn't really need anything else but it's always good to see David and no one beats his prices.   If you need some, he did have new, primed 300 Blackout brass.    Overall, the show was pretty small. Many of the same dealers as the Nashville shows.
  19. I just picked up a 9mm Shield today. The recoil spring is pretty tight - haven't shot it yet. Here's to hoping I got a good one...
  20. Got my shipping notice today too.
  21. Waiting on mine too. I ordered just after TDR.
  22. Thanks for the heads up - BCG was all I needed to complete a build.
  23. Welcome - from another TGOer in Bellevue.
  24. Love the gun handling skills of the women in that picture. Nice grip by 2nd from left. Even better, 3rd from left has the muzzle pointing at Kojak's chin.
  25.   There is so much evidence of problems in this nation, we don't need to manufacture "facts". When they are so easily refuted, it makes an entire argument fall flat!
