  1.   No need to steal - I'll share :)   Got mine yesterday. Haven't tried it yet but for $1.09 it's hard to go wrong.
  2. Jumped on the deal also - thanks for the heads up.
  3.   Yep, you missed him. And all evidence has been removed.   I didn't know our moderators were also required to be janitors... :usa:  Thanks guys for all you do.
  4. Can't wait - that's one sweet knife.
  5. Since I think the way judges are "elected" is completely against the TN constitution, I always vote to replace. The system is corrupt and we need to shake up the status quo.   TN constitution calls for election of judges. The "TN plan" has a commission that gives the governor three names and he can select one or tell them to give him three more. Then after they serve, the citizens get to vote to retain or replace. How that can be considered "election of judges" is beyond my comprehension.
  6. Ordered mine on the 11th and received it yesterday. I did get a shipping confirmation when it shipped.
  7. Buy an 80% lower and finish it yourself.
  8. From http://www.atf.gov/content/firearms-frequently-asked-questions-unlicensed-persons#gca-unlicensed-transfer:   Q: To whom may an unlicensed person transfer firearms under the GCA? A person may sell a firearm to an unlicensed resident of his State, if he does not know or have reasonable cause to believe the person is prohibited from receiving or possessing firearms under Federal law. A person may loan or rent a firearm to a resident of any State for temporary use for lawful sporting purposes, if he does not know or have reasonable cause to believe the person is prohibited from receiving or possessing firearms under Federal law. A person may sell or transfer a firearm to a licensee in any State. However, a firearm other than a curio or relic may not be transferred interstate to a licensed collector. [18 U.S.C. 922(a)(3) and (5), 922(d), 27 CFR 478.29 and 478.30] Q: From whom may an unlicensed person acquire a firearm under the GCA? A person may only acquire a firearm within the person’s own State, except that he or she may purchase or otherwise acquire a rifle or shotgun, in person, at a licensee’s premises in any State, provided the sale complies with State laws applicable in the State of sale and the State where the purchaser resides. A person may borrow or rent a firearm in any State for temporary use for lawful sporting purposes. [18 U.S.C. 922(a)(3) and (5), 922(b)(3), 27 CFR 478.29 and 478.30]
  9. Only a Jeeper will realize the true humor in this!
  10.   The state isn't good about publicizing some of their decisions. I'm an instructor - the state sent information regarding the change of course of fire over a year ago. I don't have it in an electronic form or I would post it.   They probably still state it as a 70% requirement since you can score 100 points with the new system (50 rounds - all in the 7 ring).
  11. Not anymore. The state changed the qualification last year. They now use a B29 target - its 22" x 11.5". Anything in the 7 ring or in counts as 2 points. In the black but not inside the 7 ring is 1 point. 50 shots - 70 points to pass.
  12. Join the club, you'll be cool!
  13.   I've taught undergraduate classes at Vandy. Athletes took my class along with normal students. Well, as normal as engineering students can be. :)
  14. No question that a range that handles 30-06 and 308 will handle a 300 Blackout. The 300 Blackout has a little more energy that a 7.62x39 (approx. 15% more)
  15.   I have XS Big Dots on my shield. Can't beat them on a carry gun, IMO.
  16. Just got home from a business trip and had a present waiting on me... July 1 is going to be like Christmas morning this year!
  17.   You've gone above and beyond this entire adventure. Mucho appreciated!   When do we order the Godfathers? :)
  18. Springfield Loaded - around $800 or $900. Spend the rest on ammo. I've been temped by Dan Wesson's but so far one hasn't made its way into my safe yet.   It has everything I want in a decent 1911 without extra cost. I've owned more expensive Kimbers that I wouldn't trade my SA for. It doesn't compare to a high-end 1911 (but nothing does).
  19. Congrats! I'm sure you had a little something to do with graduating...
  20. I'm in - I'd like whatever serial number I get from the LG101. Looks like #55 it is!   Might as well start a series with matching numbers...
  21.   Of course I agree :)   seems like I won the posting race this time!
  22. http://www.tn.gov/safety/    The official name of the state office is the Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security.
  23. When my wife and I are celebrating, Melting Pot is always on the short list.
