I've only had one semi-auto failure (my 1943 Colt Woodsman broke a firing pin once) which couldn't be cured with a mag change and racking the slide. I always carry a spare mag.

I haven't cut myself (yet)... This one will definitely make the carry rotation. It's a great size carry knife for me. I'm more than happy with this ProTech.

Got a new toy today. Sometimes it's really good to know people who know people. Thanks again @willis68!

It takes a lot of testing, experience, research, etc. for me to commit to a new weapon light. Based on my research, the Olights seemed worth testing. So far, I've been impressed with the Olights I purchased but they are not intended to be defensive tools (at least by me) - just utility flashlights. The i5st is destined for my laptop bag for travel. I treat a defensive light much light a new defense gun. It doesn't make it into the defense role until its proven enough for me to bet my life on it.

Got my lights today. The quality is way better than I expected. I'm going to use the M2R Pro Warrior to land some planes headed to HSV in my backyard. The i5T EOS is tiny. I can't imagine how they get so much light out of a AAA battery. Both lights have multiple modes so you can maximize your battery life until you need to blind someone or signal the spacestation. Kudos to willis68 as usual. Great price and I can't believe how quickly he got the lights to Alabama.

I grew up on Lake Cumberland. Striper are what everyone goes after up there. I never could catch anything. But just sitting on the bank with a line in the water was always relaxing.

Nice minnow. What are you fishing for?

I only married one (the best of the bunch, BTW)! She's all I need. Most people ask if she has sisters when I shooting a birthday present from a few years ago: Nighthawk T3T.

When we moved, I got the Kobalt 80V trimmer, blower, and push mower. We have small lot and the push mower is plenty. They work great and the wife loves the mower. I haven't actually mowed more than twice this year. Yes, she has sisters but they are already spoken for.

I use the XS Big Dots. They are a great option for a defensive handgun. If it's a range only toy, there are better options, IMO. For defensive purposes, they are quick to acquire and provide an "accurate enough" target picture. I tried them on a friend's gun before I adopted them for my carry gun.

Then you get safe #3...

Thanks. I obviously have a thing for Sigs. My first was a well used P228 back in about 1996 and the addiction has continued to grow. Thankfully, I still have that 228.

Been looking for one of these for two+ years. Finally found a Sig P220 Legion in .45 ACP and brought it home.

It also never becomes less true

If it ain't a Pony, its a phony. Still got this pre-ban Colt AR as it was a gift from my Dad many, many years ago.

What was your last/next range toy? [with pictures]

Found out last night that I'm getting the original box for this beaut. It turned up recently and the previous owner called to ask if I wanted it. He said it was in pristine condition - not bad for 57 years old! -

Thanks! I felt the engraving was amazing on this one. Based on the initials of the engraver, and a little research, seems it was engraved by Marie Magis. She did excellent work based on my research. Some of her higher end Brownings are really works of art. -

I've been after a 4" for years until I came across a 6" I couldn't pass up. It was made in 1970 and looks new. The old blue finish is simply amazing. If the trigger on these compares, I'll add a 4" to the collection.

This is just the long winded version of what DaveTN and GrayFox54 stated earlier. A utility bill or property tax statement doesn't provide proof of residency. You are only allowed to buy handguns in your state of residency. You can purchase long guns in another state but the sale has to follow the laws of your state of residency. I'm not surprised a TN FFL wouldn't sell to a NY resident; they would legally have to follow all NY laws.

Sounds like an excuse to shoot more, so you don't miss in the future

Received my latest masterpiece from GT and figured I should have a family photoshoot. He is definitely an artist with steel!

For encouraging me to build another AR-15 that I don't need... just because I can! Picked up a stripped lower to start another build today.

Thanks! I think KahrMan is selling the 38 super. I expect it's a superb gun knowing KahrMan and his tastes.
