Ask me again in a week and I'll give you a review of a belt from Tucker. I ordered a couple (IWB + OWB) holsters yesterday, Easter Sunday, from Tuckers (for the PCR I bought from lshel last week). And the belt on top of it. Get this, I got an email back from Rob Longenecker 20 minutes later (was around 7pm or so), advising me of the lead-time, which I already expected. I replied, with positive comments on my first holster from them (Mini-IWB for the RAMI), and asked if it was possible to get the belt separately ahead of time. 30 minutes later he replied back, and had changed the orders such that the belt will ship first (in about a week), before the holsters are made and shipped (about 7-8 weeks). Again, on Easter Sunday, between 7pm and 8pm. How's that for customer service? :)

Looks like he may gotten a round off. Report says an officer is wounded. http://www.cnbc.com/2016/03/28/gunshots-reported-in-us-capitol-visitors-center-reuters-citing-sources.html

I'd be interesting to see if they release security camera footage. Would make for a nice case study of how not to touch or reach for your gun when a LEO finds a gun on you. Then again, he may have taken aim. Seems unclear at this point. (Thanks media.... no facts, just sensationalism).

Petition for Open Carry at the Republican Convention
Obiwan replied to btq96r's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
That's also the interpretation from CNet (warning, reading the liberal user comments may make you sick). In addition, some joker set up a similar petition to "mandate" firearms at the convention. -
Interesting article on the movement of weapons: http://www.spiegel.de/international/europe/following-the-path-of-the-paris-terror-weapons-a-1083461.html It's interesting to note how the bureaucracy of gun control, exaggerated by trying to cover multiple countries and their respective laws, provides easily abused loopholes.

It's not all about keeping track of a person, but there's also a safety aspect to it. I have a Ham radio license (tech). My Jeep is trackable via ARPS. I also installed a small, transmit-only tracker in my wife's car. She is diabetic, so should something happen to her (passed out etc), I know where she is and can direct medics, or hop in the Jeep and drive to her location. Since I have a GPS unit on my Ham radio, her location shows up on my GPS map. (I can even get turn-by-turn directions from the GPS to her location). It can come in handy. Last year, after lunch with a girlfriend, her car wouldn't start. I hopped in the Jeep and drove to her to diagnose the issue, give her a jump, and drive to Autozone to replace the battery. All she had to say was "Honey, my car doesn't start." "No worries, honey, I'll be right there, wherever it is you are." :)

Ditto on the Nitto. :D (Trail Grapplers on the Wrangler, like them a lot)

Welcome from a fellow CZ fan. A Scorpion Evo will be my next buy, once the 2016 shipment arrives. (To be suppressed and SBR'ed).

Man blows off leg shooting Tannerite rifle targets
Obiwan replied to Pete123's topic in General Chat
If you search YouTube for "tannerite lawn mower" you'll find a stupendous amount of videos of folks blowing up lawn mowers and cars (and my favorite, a barn). Looks like it has become knuckleheads favorite past time. Hopefully this incident will give others a moment of pause. (yeah, right...) And thanks to that moron, media backlash about how "smart" gun owners are is starting to crop up again. Every time a moron does something stupid with a gun, it's reflected badly on all of us. -
Such as the one shown in the link. :) (Click on the "Polish". It's a Atlantic import.)

Okay, I think I know why the Tuffy Under-seat drawer is not advertised for 2011+ 2-door Jeeps. You can probably fit it, but it will prevent the seat from tumbling forward. Since 4-doors don't have the need for a tumble seat, it's no problem there. Anyway, a few days ago I installed the V-line lock-box under my driver seat. It only took minor modifications on one cross-beam under the seat (not load-bearing, though probably wouldn't make a difference). It now fits perfectly, and is pretty secure. You'd have to remove the seat to take the lock-box with you. :) I'm happy with the way it turned out. If anyone is interested in pictures, let me know and I'll make a small write-up. (Sorry, I didn't take pictures during the process, but can go take some now that it's installed.)

Next to the Like Button, this forum needs a High-Five Button. :) 2075B here, on half-cock in a Tucker's Mini-IWB.

Dealing with "Todd", an opinion piece on self defense training
Obiwan replied to Spots's topic in Training Discussions
And don't forget your Sun-Tzu. Even Todd will have a weakness or two. Find them and exploit them to your benefit. Attack his weaknesses, not strength. Find out what he'd anticipate and do the opposite. Deceit, mislead, abuse, prevail. (Disclaimer: Nothing in above post should be construed as professional advice and relied on for survival. The poster disclaims any sort or liability and makes no representation of usability or fitness... especially physical fitness... *cough* hell, I'm exhausted just writing this....) -
Does anyone have any comments on Polish imports such as the one in this link?

So, Miss Piggy put on lipstick, eh?

I'm not going to Knob Creek, but I'll likely be going to The Strategic Edge Machine Gun Shoot on April 9th.

CCI has my vote. I always fed my Ruger 22/44 with CCI Mini Mags. No major issues. Then at some time I got a bag of Winchester (I think) hollow-points. That bag was one huge dud. Plenty of Failure to Fire and lots of Failure to Feed. But the Mini Mags always run and cycle smooth. Highly recommended.

Here's a follow up story to the first one. It adds to the picture a little bit. (Google maps for anyone interested). And on ABC News. And on Reuters.

I read the Lancet article yesterday. When I came to "background checks on ammunition purchases", I started to throw up and closed the browser. :shake: :blah:

He may not have been at speed yet. I don't know what exactly happened, but I'm not jumping to unfounded conclusions and making bold statements (not referring to you here, but others). It's possible that the dunks where between the truck and the cruiser. The officer may have been dong his job, like cuffing one, when the driver bailed, jumped in the truck, put it in reverse in an attempt to ram or run over the officer, which then had no chance of escape other than to hop on the trucks bed. And since there was an attempt on his life, he had every right to shoot the driver. That's of course only one possible scenario. We just don't know yet what happened. I'd like to see the officers video. But I highly doubt he ran behind the truck and leaped inside the bed because he has seen too many action movies.

Kris: Will Jenny be revealed at the shoot on April 9th?

I don't mean to spoil the suspense, but the answer to one of the stories can be found in a different thread. The duffle bag is still a mystery though. :)
