Just some of my rambling thoughts....would like to hear what my fellow TGO brothers think...  As gun owner's we are currently living the "minority" side of democracy as our gun rights are under attack.  Our Constitution made up of original Bill of Rights was built to protect the foundation of this country in the event the "majority" in this country want to take things in a different direction.  In other words, majority DOES NOT rule when it comes to the constitutional foundation of America.  Minority rules based upon the Constitution in the case of the 2nd amendment.   We Americans have the longest standing Constitution in the history of the world.  Yes, we've continued to amend in the case of slavery (100 years) and (150 years) women's voting rights but changes are seldom.  The U.S. is a Constitutional Republic and not a democracy IMHO.  History proves that our Constitution holds us together as a nation but is under constant attack based upon the "majority" voting argument.   Our forefathers could not have anticipated every circumstance in post 2000 society so we now find ourselves in the minority trying to express our interpretation of our Countries founding cornerstones.  Even if you assume that our representatives will always carry out the will of the majority, doesn't the Constitution guarantee (theoretically) that the rights of the minority can't be taken away by the majority?  For the most part, history says we add rights not take them away.   Thoughts?

Agree with you brutnus...if folks will quit buying from those taking advantage of the situation availability will come back sooner...some are turning ammo for the 2nd and 3rd time. I'd love to see these scalpers get stuck with dollar a round 22lr...lol...

"Panic buying" affects people in different ways. Those that aren't comfortable with firearms or are new to them can get spooked watching some of the current bad behavior that is not typical to the firearms community. Gun and ammo supply will soon catch up with demand and things will start to normalize once again. We all should remember that a man's character is not tested in the good times but the bad.

I carry whenever possible.  Flying relatively often is a requirement for my job and I definitely miss my firearm when traveling.

Has anyone heard of Inter Ordnance (also known as IO) out of NC? They manufacture AKs and provide a lifetime warranty...been in business 15 years. Anyone have any feedback on them and their rifles?

Do they destroy what they collect? Just curious...

Read the first in the Hunger Games series and saw the movie. Couldn't get into suspended reality mode when it came to a small village surrendering their children. To me, the love story aspects detracted from it as well but my 16 yr old daughter loved it.

What should someone look for when making a purchase decision?  If firing isn't an option at the point of sale, what are the steps for a proper function check?  Is there an easy way to confirm where it was manufactured?  Any brands to be avoided?  Any tips to be aware of or any warning signs to look for with the rifle?  Has anyone been burned with a purchase that could share some lessons learned?
