1. It smells almost as good as Ballistol. I get it out when I want to be alone.
2. Yesterday and today Safari has been plenty fast.
3. Wow! Credit!? My personal belief system says that if you shell out $5G for an AR on CREDIT you are very close to being stupid. Of course I'm told I'm old fashioned.
4. It can make a fellow a little itchy if you look at this insanity long enough.
5. Al Gore, Al-Jazeera, Al Capone, they're all about the same. It is ironic that Al will receive payment for his network in oil money, evil stuff that it is.
6. I've seen several ARs on GB sell above $5,000. That tells me there is money sloshing around in the economy. Maybe the economy is better than everyone thinks.
7. He will always have your back!
8. That's my kind of barn!
9. I think he was referring to hunting.
10. That doesn't require a loan, it requires a mortgage.
11. This is a good video for seeing why men and women are different. Best thing I learned was that "nothing" is a perfectly good answer. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3XjUFYxSxDk

Price police??

What if this is the new normal? At what point down the road does it cease to be gouging? How long before we can sell to each other at these "new normal" prices. I'm a farmer, I'm used to wild swings in the prices of the things I sell. One day a bushel of corn is worth $7.50 per bushel the next it's $6.75, it's called a free market. Very few people on here are in the gun business, most are in a gun hobby. Very few purchases are necessities. If its out of my budget I don't buy it. One last thing, anyone who doesn't check market prices before buying isn't an informed buyer.

New "woods" gun
Thanks for the holster recommendations. I am seriously looking at the Combat Master from Galco and the Pancake from Simply Rugged. The chest rig would be excellent for the bush, but a good one is a bit too much for me to pay.
I can tell you the Simply Rugged holsters are just what it says. I've got 3 of them and they hold up very well. And the best part is they hold the gun tight in the holster; it will not fall out. Even my magnum Judge stays put and I've fallen, flipped, and rolled with it and it stays in there without a retention strap.
14.
Just out of curiosity, the TSA has found and confiscated many knives, and lots of guns yet so many here are convinced they don't do their job. Maybe all those guns and knives were accidents, maybe everyone they've caught had noble intentions? Maybe some people just expect a terrorist to be wearing a t-shirt that says "terrorist" when they get caught at screening? Anyone else not wearing said shirt obviously is just absent minded enough to try going through airport security with a gun or razor blade post 9/11? Sorry this is a bit of a pet peeve of mine, there are all kinds of ill informed misconceptions out there regarding aviation security and for me at least it got old fast. Nothing and nobody is perfect but IMO our system works about as well as any and those that don't like it should remember there is no constitutional right to flying, and yes you do waive your right to privacy going into the sterile area of an airport. And BTW, no, the undertrained underpaid goon working the new body scanners cannot see your wife's goodys or your package. Rant off.
I believe guns and knives would have been found with a simple pass through the metal detector. My complaint comes with random "pat downs" of the elderly and toddlers.
15.
That's where mine were done as well.
Yep, UPS stores are vendors for the prints. Other state agencies use them also.
16. Where would locally be?
17.
Actually, for pretty much our entire history as a country, the law has treated property used for business purposes differently than it treats property used for private purposes..."who" (and sometimes there are many, many of those) owns/controls the property is not as important as what it is used for. Even property used for totally private purposes (your home, for example), can and usually is subject to regulations (often dependent on how closely you live to other property owners. It is a basic principle, dating from almost as far back as one cares to look, that property owners have the right to use and enjoy their property but that right is not sacrosanct (and I would suggest, never has been and shouldn't be). That said, this really has nothing to do with whether politicians, who can't decided whether they like )votes or campaign contributions the most, shouldn't be removed from office at the first opportunity. ;0
^+1 You said it much better than I did.
18. Businesses are property owners and they exercise their rights everyday. If a business states "no large bags or purses allowed" that's the way it is.
19. Samburg and Hornbeak, in Obion county.

21. What I take away from this is if the veggie diet may cure the cancer we need to stay on it to prevent cancer.
22. Depending on my mood either a G26 or a PM45, both have their own Simply Rugged holster.
23. Points are well made and well taken. I will leave it at this: I want to decide what and who comes on my property.
24. Property rights have been eroded just like 2nd amendment rights have, one little law at a time. Our founders were very clear on this point. After having been forced to lodge British soldiers in their homes they spoke very clearly to this point: property owners have complete control of their land. Do any of us want to be told by the government what we must allow on our land? It may just be firearms this time around but could this set another precedent to allow something else later? If you don't control what comes on your property is it really all yours?
25. I'm not disagreeing with you QuietDan. It's two different issues. Inspection is one thing, but allowing you to set policy for your property is another. If you own a piece of property you control what happens on that property. If I don't like the policies you set for your property than I have some decisions to make. Anything on your property is subject to your policies. That's what private property rights are.
