  1. Translation: I put my career in the garbage a few years ago w/ the "pay to injure opposing players" scandal. Now my team's record stinks and my QB is nearing retirement. I'm desperate and will kiss any behind to extend my prospects in the NFL (which is becoming more and more PC to cater to soccer moms and sell pink jerseys).
  2. Randy, Nate and I are trying to make it, but it may be a last minute thing. Al
  3. The porcupine doesn't survive because he eats bears. He survives because an injured bear is just food for someone else. Like Randy said, I try to train for King Kong, but I am realistic. I am no match for Randy w/ a firearm or Spots w/ my hands. All I can say is this: if someone FORCES me to respond, they better be all in. I will be. If I can avoid, I will. If I can escape, I will. If I have no choice, I will be the porcupine. To "Todd" I would only say "I don't want any trouble w/ you or anyone else. You can no doubt "take" me. But, what's it worth to you?"
  4. I'm not sure about this, but I think there is some FUDD vs action pistol (and, heaven forbid, black rifles) tension within the club. As an outsider, I don't know the dynamic for certain.
  5. Quit your crying, Meadows. You're not east... I'm east. Yours is just a short commute. Al
  6. Randy, One more headed your way. Al
  7. Thanks. I usually carry aiwb, so that's what I'll go with. I didin't PM you because I thought the answer might benefit someone else who is considering the class. Al
  8. Randy, I'm in for CRG in Dayton. Just signed up/paid. One quick question: is AIWB OK for the class or is an OWB holster better? Thanks, Al
  9. Randy, 30 days only in April... just saying. I went to see what I was working that weekend and it threw me a curve ball. Al
  10. For all those who are happy to go along with the latest "background check" or "training" requirements, please refer to the thread titled "FBI halts appeals process".
  11. Cool!! Thanks, Joe. Sorry about the last minute request. Al
  12. "Republicans" are responsible for Trump just as "Democrats" are for Clinton and Sanders. Maybe they should stop lining their pockets, stop pissing and moaning, and do their jobs as servants of the American People. As to "stupid of the day", I think you missed quite a few other contenders.
  13. Joe, Any more slots open for next Wed classifier? Al
  14. So much fail, it's hard to know where to start. Imagine if a test were required before one could exercise their right as a citizen to vote or as a human being to peacefully assemble. Wait, that's been tried before (you get the point). It's doesn't matter what you "feel" about it or who you "trust". You don't get to decide for anyone else... it's called freedom and it can be scary at times. Living in a zoo is much safer but the lions don't look too happy in the cages. Maybe you would like it? No one else can protect you, you might even fail yourself but at least you can try. Anyone who promises to protect you is either a fool or thinks you are. The 1st Amendment protects your right to criticize the government, not to say stupid things in public and go unchallenged. Just because it's your opinion doesn't mean it's not ignorant. Luckily, ignorance is a choice. You get to decide whether you stay that way or not. Take a civics class and get back to me.
  15. PM me too and I'll send the full amount (if that's OK). Al
  16. Cuomo may have trouble with that. It would seem that some of his main "legislation pushers" have recently been convicted of crimes.
  17. An EO from a governor is no more a law than one from the president. They don't pass laws. I suspect the governor in Conn will find this out very soon. Besides, didn't they already give up on their registration in Conn?
  18. An EO is not law. As the chief of the executive branch, he can direct people who work for him (ICE, Justice, ect.) to enforce/ignore laws and/or regs. He can even stretch an interpretation of a law. He cannot however make law. For example: An FFL already does the check on any sale or transfer. If not, they are in violation of current law. If however you sell a gun to your neighbor (within the same state), you are not required to do a check or go through an FFL. You all know this already. If he signs an EO demanding a check on all transfers, how could it be enforced? If you sell to your neighbor (in accordance w/ the law), how could they know? What would you be arrested for, not abiding w/ an EO (which has no force of the law)? Some folks need to lay off of their own Kool-Aid.
  19. I really hope we revisit the low light shooting next year, don't get a chance to do that very often. And, since we're "recalculating" scores, I would have finished 3rd if not for one pesky no-shoot while shooting w/ a light (which probably looked about as smooth as a drunk on a unicycle!). Just another reason to practice low light more often.
  20. Thanks guys, had a blast (pun intended)! Merry Christmas and see you in January. Al
  21. Target Sports USA. Order a case of ammo and get free shipping all year 'round.
  22. Shooting on 7/15 in Gallatin?
  23. Working like a dog in the heat to get the range squared away is no excuse! Thanks, had a blast at the match (no pun intended). Al
